During the meeting, which was held at the United Nations office in Sana’a, Major General Al-Mushki explained that the meeting comes in light of a catastrophic humanitarian situation that the Yemeni people in general and the people of Hodeidah in particular live in.
“The catastrophic humanitarian situation is a result of the piracy acts carried out by the countries of aggression, which prevent the entry of ships of oil derivatives, foodstuffs, commercial goods, medicines and the life requirements of citizens,” he added.
Al-Mushki denounced the silence of the UN and the international community towards these inhuman and illegal practices.
He pointed out that the National Team had implemented the redeployment in Hodeidah, which was blessed by the international community, in exchange for alleviating the suffering of the people, the smooth flow of food and commercial goods to the citizens, the transfer of the Verification and Inspection Mechanism (UNVIM) from Djibouti to the three ports of Hodeidah, and allowing ships of oil derivatives and food to arrive without any hindrances, however, all ships remain detained by the countries of aggression.
"It is not reasonable for us to stand idly by and watch while the requirements of the world are completely passed and our requirements are reserved," he said.
The head of the National Team reviewed the humanitarian situation in Hodeidah governorate as a result of the military escalation and the continuous shelling of various types of weapons by the aggression-mercenaries, which led to civilian casualties.
He stressed the keenness of the Army and Popular Committees to implement their commitments to the Stockholm Agreement in Hodeidah, including starting the redeployment as a priority, after which the remaining details will be implemented.
Major General Al-Mushki called on the UN to carry out its duties and the necessity of returning the aggression-mercenary to the work table without any conditions or blackmail.
For his part, the head of the United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement expressed his thanks for the efforts of the National Team in implementing the Stockholm Agreement and the commitment to the ceasefire, praising the positive and continuous cooperation of the National Team to implement the outcomes of the Agreement.
