The report reveals a painful reality related to the failure to create sufficient and fair job opportunities, due to the inability of the labor market in Arab world to do so, especially the formal sector, for several main reasons, including political instability, demographic changes and the decline in financial and monetary stability.
Ruba Jaradat, the regional director for Arab countries at the International Labor Organization, called for the development of a "practical roadmap" to promote a human-centered recovery and a better future that works on equal opportunities and social justice, and provides economic security.
The report indicated that there are certain sectors that have been affected or exposed to risks, such as administrative activities, real estate, industry and hospitality, noting that there are 39.8 million people who face the risk of wage cuts or layoffs, due to the Corona crisis.
