News - Yemen: Parliament head, Yahya Al-Rahi, called on the free people of the world to raise their voices in order to stop the coalition’s war on Yemen, and the daily targeting of civilians with hundreds of internationally prohibited raids and missiles.

Al-Rahi said that while the world celebrates the International Human Rights Day, the Yemeni people are being subjected to aggression and siege for the 7th year in a row, stressing the importance of translating these occasions into actions so that they do not become mere hollow slogans.

The Parliament reminded the international community and the United Nations of the suffering of the forgotten Yemeni people in light of the continued aggression and siege.

"Where is UN and the international community from what is happening in Yemen in terms of killing the Yemeni people with internationally prohibited weapons, and where is the role of the international community in protecting human rights in Yemen and defending its cause and its grievances and the aggression and siege it is subjected to," he asked.

The people’s representatives stood for a minute of silence, in honor of the soul of the deceased, Parliament member Ali Saeed Al-Qushaibi, representative of Constituency 232, Sana’a, who passed away after a life full of giving and dedication in performing his legislative and supervisory duties and tasks in the parliamentary committees in which he worked.

The Council reviewed a brief report on its work during the previous period, as well as the minutes of its previous meeting, and approved it, and it will continue its business sessions, Sunday.
