Yemen: The US State Department preempted the decision to resume arms exports to Saudi Arabia this week, with statements confirming the United States' support for the Saudi aggression on Yemen, confirming that Washington is the actual engine of the war.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed that the United States stands with its partner Saudi Arabia and condemns the continued bombardment by Yemen.

In this regard, attempts by a number of members of Congress to pressure the Biden administration to stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia did not succeed. The demands of international and human rights organizations to stop the war also were refused despite that they confirmed the suffering of the Yemeni people.

At a time when human rights activists and media outlets widely criticized the world, US President Biden abandoned his campaign promises to punish Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his crimes committed against Yemenis and the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and to end arms sales to Saudi Arabia, those promises evaporated. 

Biden emphasized that he was no different from his predecessors (Obama - Trump), who started and widely supported a disastrous war on Yemen.

The US policy, even if it appears emotional with fictitious statements, cannot be trusted, in light of the continued manipulation of Arab and Muslim issues, including the war on Yemen, which can only end with US order to its tools in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia - UAE - Israeli enemy).

The vote of the US Senate to continue supplying Saudi Arabia with weapons, contradicts its claims to seek with the United Nations to bring peace to Yemen; The continued flow of weapons to Riyadh, the maintenance of warplanes, and the provision of logistical and intelligence support, are all indications that the US is relentlessly leading the war on Yemen.

On the other hand, the Yemeni Army and the Popular Committees are still achieving victories on various fighting frontlines, and are now kilometers away from the liberation of the city of Marib, the last stronghold of the pro-aggression government and Saudi-backed Islah party.

They also targeted the Saudi depth in response to the escalation by the recent qualitative Yemeni operation (7th of December Operation) with a number of ballistic missiles and 25 drones.
