The Attack on UAE Show off Military Advances that Yemeni Armed Forces Made

News - Middle East: The Wall Street journal revealed, in a report, Tuesday, the results of the air attack that targeted the Emirati depth with missiles and drones, by the Yemeni Armed Forces.

"The Yemenis were the ones who launched the attack on their own, in response to the UAE aggression on their cities," the newspaper quoted a US official confirming.

The official added: “The reason for the attack is the UAE’s participation in the war in Yemen and to provide more support to the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen.

Yemen used a mix of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones to target Abu Dhabi and parts of Saudi Arabia on Monday, in one of the most audacious attacks on its Gulf rivals in years, it said.

The Associated Press published, today, Tuesday, satellite photos showing the aftermath of a fatal attack on an oil facility in the capital of the United Arab Emirates claimed by Yemen’s Armed Forces.

Satellite images showed smoke rising over an Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. fuel depot in the Mussafah neighborhood of Abu Dhabi after the attack. Another image taken shortly after appears to show scorch marks and white fire-suppressing foam deployed on the grounds of the depot.

The agency pointed out that ADNOC did not respond to questions from the AP asking about the site and damage estimates from the attack. The company had said the attack happened around 10 a.m. Monday.

The Yemeni Armed Forces revealed Monday evening the details of the qualitative military E'sar Al-Yemen operation (Operation Hurricane Yemen), which targeted the Emirati depth.

In a military statement, read by Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, the Armed Forces stated that the qualitative operation was in response to the escalation of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression.

According to the statement, the operation targeted the Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports, the Musaffah oil refinery in Abu Dhabi and a number of important and sensitive Emirati sites and facilities.

Operation Hurricane Yemen was successfully carried out with five ballistic and winged missiles and a large number of drones, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e explained.
