US-Saudi-Emirati Warplanes Wage Series of Airstrikes on Sanaa, Other Governorates

News - Yemen: The US-Emirati aggression’s fighter jets have launched new airstrikes on the Yemeni capital of Sana’a and nearby cities in the early hours of Tuesday, as Riyadh escalates its aggression against the country.

Almasirah Net correspondent in Sana'a reported that the aggression’s warplanes launched five raids on the Al-Nahdin and Al-Hafa areas in the Al-Sabeen district, and a raid on the Attan area in the capital Sana’a.

Saudi warplanes, he added, also launched three raids on the Jarban area in the Sanhan district, and two raids on the Arhab district, in addition to destroying the telecommunications network with two raids on the district of al-Hosn in Khawlan.

Almasirah Net correspondent also reported that the aggression’s warplanes destroyed, with four raids, communication towers in the Al-Kumaim area in the Al-Hada district of Dhamar Governorate.

The airstrikes continue amid a nationwide internet blackout since the US-Saudi aggression bombed a telecommunications hub in Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah last week.

The incident has severely limited independent media and human rights monitoring efforts. Observers say the attack appears to be a deliberate move by the coalition of aggression to keep the world in the dark about the extent of death and destruction resulting from its airstrikes in Yemen.

Yemen's northwestern provinces of Hajjah and Sa’adah were targeted earlier on Monday as the coalition stepped up its airstrikes on Yemen over the past week, leaving more than 100 people killed and many more injured.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.

Despite heavily-armed Saudi Arabia’s incessant bombardment of the country, the Yemeni Armed Forces have grown steadily in strength against the US-Saudi invaders and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.
