News - Yemen: A citizen was seriously injured Tuesday, as a result of an airstrike by the US-Saudi-Emirati warplanes in Taiz Governorate.

The citizen, named Qae’ed Shaalan, was injured by shrapnel of a missile fired by the US-Saudi warplanes on his farm while he was plowing the land in Maqbna District.

The airstrike also killed a number of livestock and caused material damage in the targeted farm, almasirah Net correspondent reported.

Maqbna district in Taiz governorate is subjected to continuous targeting by the aggression warplanes, which caused the death and injury of over hundred civilians, the destruction of dozens of homes, farms, water wells and the death of livestock, amid an international silence towards the crimes of the aggression against civilians.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and its other regional allies, launched a devastating war on Yemen in March 2015. The seven years and half of war has killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure. Yemeni people are facing malnutrition, hunger, and famine, which have increased risks of disease and starvation.

In light of its defeats on various frontlines and its failure to achieve any of its objectives, the US-Saudi aggression is notorious for its indiscrimination shown by its numerous attacks against densely-populated centers, including markets, hospitals, farms and schools.
