News - Yemen: Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology condemned the targeting of the building of the Yemeni Company for International teleommunications "TeleYemen" yesterday by US-Saudi-Emirati airstrikes.

The Ministry condemned, in a statement the aggression’s bombing of the company’s main building in the Al-Jarf area in Sana’a, which contains technical and basic equipment to provide international services.

The statement pointed out that the bombing resulted in the interruption of international services, affecting many vital services and sectors in all regions of Yemen, and depriving citizens of one of their basic rights.

The Ministry denied what is being promoted by US-Saudi aggression of using the company's site for military purposes, stressing that all technical equipment is used for civilian purposes to provide international services to all citizens in various Yemeni governorates.

The statement called on all civil society organizations to visit the site and verify the false allegations of using the site for military purposes, stressing that the bombing comes within the framework of the repeated targeting of installations, equipment, networks, sites and communications towers, and civilian objects.

It pointed out that the continued targeting of the telecommunications sector confirms the arrogance of US-Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.

The Ministry called on international community, humanitarian and human rights organizations to do their duty to stop the repeated destruction of the infrastructure of the international gateways and the Internet, as they are vital sectors in the country.

The statement clarified that the continued perpetration of crimes against the Yemeni people confirms the necessity of confronting the aggression and continuing to mobilize against it.

The statement touched on the efforts of the concerned authorities to restore service to citizens, emphasizing the keenness and continuity of the Ministry of Communications to provide its services professionally to all citizens in the Yemeni territories.

The Ministry puts on, the US-Saudi aggression, full legal and moral responsibility for perpetrating this crime and the crimes that preceded it, and all the catastrophic repercussions of those crimes on the humanitarian, civil and economic levels.

It expressed its dissatisfaction with the silence of UN and the international community regarding the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression and its persistence in killing civilians and destroying the infrastructure of the communications sector.
