News - Yemen: The head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, revealed that the crew of the Emirati military ship Rawabi was released. The ship was captured during its illegal sealing in Yemen's territorial waters.

Abdulsalam said in a tweet, "Based on Omani efforts, and after taking all necessary legal measures, the crew of the Emirati military ship Rawabi was released." He added that a British detainee who was carrying out suspicious activities in Yemen also has been transferred.

President Mahdi Al-Mashat, met, on Sunday, the Omani delegation, who is visiting the country in the context of Omani efforts to bring peace to Yemen.

On January, The Yemeni Armed Forces announced seizure of the Emirati military cargo ship that was in the Yemeni territorial waters, and showed pictures and videos of the ship carrying military equipment.

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, said: "For the first time, the navy succeeded in carrying out a qualitative military operation targeting a military cargo ship while it was carrying out hostile activities in Yemen’s waters."

He stressed that the hostile ship during the past weeks transported various quantities of weapons that are used to target the Yemeni people.

He continued, "After weeks of the careful monitoring of the ship's activity, directives were issued to seize it within the legitimate defense of our country and people and transfer it to the Salif port," noting that the naval forces, within the framework of their defense tasks for Yemeni territorial waters, were and still monitor all the hostile activities of the warships of the aggression.
