Condemnations Pouring in on Saudi Army’s Torturing Yemeni Citizens to Death

News - Yemen: Condemnations have been pouring in from different quarters on the Saudi crime against Yemeni citizens.

The Human Rights Office in Sa’adah Governorate condemned the Saudi Army torturing of a number of citizens to death in the border area of Al-Raqo.

The Republican Hospital in Sa’adah received on Thursday the bodies of seven citizens who were tortured to death by the Saudi Army in the Al-Raqo area of the border area.

“Security source in Sa’adah confirmed that the seven victims died after being tortured with electricity,” Almasirah correspondent reported confirming that the death toll is preliminary.

The Human Rights Office held the Saudi regime responsible for torturing citizens to death, and called on the United Nations and all organizations to condemn the crime.

It also denounced the silence of the United Nations and international organizations and the complicity in the Saudi crime against Yemeni citizens.

Maenwhile, a rights group condemned the Saudi Army’s torturing of seven citizens to death in the vicinity of Al-Raqo area.

Eye of Humanity Center (Ain al-Insiyah Center) for Human Rights and Development confirmed the arrival of seven bodies of civilians to the Republican Hospital in Sa’adah, bearing signs of torture by beatings and electric shocks, and the number of victims is likely to increase.

The Center held the Saudi regime fully responsible for the crime of torturing citizens to death, explaining that the Saudi crime revealed the true face of Riyadh's Wahhabi Takfiri regime, which does not accept coexistence with others.

It added that the Saudi crime against civilians proves the image of the murderous and brutal regime to the world and refutes all the allegations of the Saudi regime about reforms.

The Center explained that the Saudi crime reveals the true face of the US, the main protector and ally of the repressive regimes, and reveals its double standards on human rights.

It said that the United Nations, the Security Council and the relevant human rights organizations should play their role in protecting human rights and condemning Saudi crimes.

Last month, three citizens were killed as a result of the bombing of the Saudi enemy on the border areas of Sa'adah Governorate.

Various areas of the border districts in Sa’adah are  subjected to Saudi missile and artillery shelling, on a daily basis, resulting in heavy material losses.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and its other regional allies, launched a devastating war on Yemen in March 2015. The seven years and half of war has killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure. Yemeni people are facing malnutrition, hunger, and famine, which have increased risks of disease and starvation.

In light of its defeats on various frontlines and its failure to achieve any of its objectives, the US-Saudi aggression is notorious for its indiscrimination shown by its numerous attacks against densely-populated centers, including markets, hospitals, farms and schools.
