Inability to Treat US-Saudi Bomb, Mines Remnants Results in More Casualties

News - Yemen: The director of the Executive Center for Demining, Brigadier Ali Safra, confirmed that the lack of materials used to destroy the remnants of war led to more martyrs.

In a statement to Almasirah, Safra said, Wednesday: "The area contaminated with mines in Hodeidah is more than 400 square kilometers, and we have cleared part of this area despite the lack of critical capabilities."

He added that the UN was informed of the necessity of allowing mine detectors, especially during the truce period, noting that the United Nations reduced its activities in Yemen and deliberately politicized the demining issue.

The head and members of the National Team met with the United Nations' team to support the Hodeidah Agreement to discuss the violations of the humanitarian and military truce by the US-Saudi Aggression and the work of the UN mission in Hodeidah Governorate.

During the meeting, the head of the national team in the Redeployment Committee, Major General Ali Al-Mushki, held United Nations and international community responsible for every drop of blood shed in Hodeidah Governorate, because they abandoned their responsibilities and didn't support mine centers.

Al-Mushki stressed that truce's essence is the humanitarian aspect, and that US-Saudi aggression is still holding oil and food ships, stressing that the violations of the aggression have not stopped since the announcement of the humanitarian and military truce on the West Coast.

He pointed out that military ships arrive at the port of Mocha daily to unload their cargo on a regular basis, and the UN mission responds with silence. He added, "We are surprised by the UN silence regarding the serious violation of the humanitarian and military truce, when a spy drone crashed last night on the heads of citizens in the capital, Sana'a."

The director of the National Program to Deal with Mines, Brigadier General Ali Safra, expressed his astonishment at the failure to enter the equipment of the National Program for Demining, according to the agreement, and its entry preserves the lives of innocent civilians who fall daily.

He noted that thirty schools in the areas that were under the control of the mercenaries are contaminated with mines, and students are deprived, because of that, of education, which is one of their rights.
