Ukraine War Exposes Biden's Lies About Yemen

World: The sequence of events in the Middle East, and the world confirmed that US President Biden infiltrated the ranks of American society to gain sympathy and then win the presidential elections, through the humanitarian issues and the threat to punish and ostracize tyrants.

Biden, while promoting his electoral campaign, was talking about the “Yemen War,” and allocated a large area of   that campaign to it, in a clear polarization of public opinion and the anti-war media; And to win the votes of defenders of peace, he had what he wanted, as he succeeded in reaching the presidency.

In 2019, His plan, Biden said, was to make the Saudis pay the price, and make them in fact the pariah that they are. He said that after the crown prince was involved in a brutal assassination against Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2, 2018, in addition to committing war crimes in Yemen since 2015, as more than 337,000 Yemeni civilians were killed in one of the worst historical wars that caused the worst humanitarian crisis in modern times, according to the United Nations.

“I assure you that we will not sell any more weapons to them,” Biden said, and after winning the presidency, he allowed the declassification of the intelligence report on Khashoggi’s murder, as US intelligence officials concluded that the crown prince ordered the murder of Khashoggi.

Biden began to be tough after winning the elections, and temporarily suspended arms deals to Saudi Arabia amid constant pressure from a number of anti-war members of Congress and Washington's involvement in supporting Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the rest of the US-Saudi aggression with weapons as well as logistical support.

Not one year passed until Biden authorized a major arms deal to Saudi Arabia, bypassing these pressures, worth $650 million, which means that the US president does not mind the continuation of the war on Yemen, and that he is following the path of his predecessors Obama and Trump, and that his promises to end the war were false promises.

Biden's promises continue to fall into the quagmire of scandals, after the continued contracting of arms deals to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and the public recognition that Saudi Arabia is an important partner and that the US is obligated to protect it, Biden changed his policy towards Mohammed bin Salman, recent indications and statements from the White House and the US State Department, confirm Biden's intention to meet bin Salman.

Biden is looking for Saudi guarantees to increase oil pumping to compensate for Russia’s oil, in light of the European crisis caused by the Ukraine war and the imposition of sanctions on Moscow, including boycotting energy sources (oil and gas) and searching for alternatives in the Middle East, the Gulf and Africa.

Prior to the supposed meeting, CNN reported that Brett McGurk, the National Security Council's Middle East coordinator and the State Department's senior adviser on global energy security, Amos Hochstein, had made four trips to Riyadh since December in an effort to mend the relationship between the two countries, and accordingly they met with bin Salman in February to prepare for this meeting.

The events confirm that the US is manipulating decisions in order to guarantee the interests of its countries. The Russian-Ukrainian war imposed a new reality, which enhanced bin Salman’s chances of manipulating the oil card.

This means that the conditions automatically served to expose the American lies and promotions regarding human rights and the punishment of tyrannical regimes. It can be summarized by saying that “Biden found in these circumstances what strengthens his support for Riyadh and Abu Dhabi under the justification of the economic boycott of Russia” and the glow of US-Saudi relations under the cover of “necessity.”
