Biden's Journey Seeks Support of Zionist Entity through Saudi's Normalization

World: The administration of US President Joe Biden targeted again the Middle East, although the administration had completely ignored the region and focused on other regions in the world for the sake of its and Israeli interests.

The American interests came at the forefront of Biden's visit program to the Middle East. It sought with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to curb the unprecedented increases in energy prices in the US amid the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Analysts considered that Biden sought to exploit his first presidential trip to the Middle East, to reassert Washington's influence in the region, during his four-day visit, dealing with issues of energy prices and the role of the Zionist entity in the region.

By the end of Biden's visit to Saudi Arabia, a clear breakthrough occurred by opening Saudi airspace to flights to and from the Zionist entity.

Regarding the normalizing relations between the Zionist entity and Saudi Arabia, Biden considered the Saudi aviation authority’s announcement to lift the flight restrictions on “all civil airlines,” which paved the way for Israeli planes to use Saudi airspace, as a “historic decision.” The Prime Minister of the Zionist entity, Yair Lapid considered it as "the first official step for normalization with Saudi Arabia."

Analysts expected that there are steps that provide “positive signs” of something coming that may be bigger to shape the region.

Regarding Saudi Arabia, the last leg of Biden's visit, human rights activists have strongly criticized this visit. He once vowed to make the Saudi regime "a pariah" due to human rights violations, including war crimes in Yemen and the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018 in his country's consulate in Istanbul.

The strongest reactions to Biden's trip focused on his meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who a US intelligence report concluded that he "approved" the killing of Khashoggi.

Shaking hands between Biden and bin Salman topped the front page of the Washington Post, and its CEO described it as “shameful.”

During Biden's stop in the occupied Palestinian territories, Biden and Lapid signed a new security pact in which the United States pledged not to allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. Biden reiterated that he wants to give diplomacy a chance, noting that force is "the last choice."

It was previously reported before the visit that the Biden administration would make unremitting efforts to launch a military alliance similar to “NATO” in the region, including the Zionist entity, during the summit in Saudi Arabia, which included the leaders of the Gulf states, in addition to Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, in the presence of Biden.

Analysts expected that during the summit, the possibility of forming a military alliance in the Middle East, similar to NATO, would be discussed.

Some analysts believe that the American desire to establish this alliance comes from the Zionist entity’s need for such an alliance to weaken the Palestinian cause, and to present the Islamic Republic of Iran as an “enemy” alternative to the Zionist entity for the countries of the region.

During the last period, Washington held a summit of senior officials from the Zionist entity and Arab countries, in which the Zionist Chief of Staff, Aviv Kohavi, and his counterparts in some Arab countries participated under American supervision.

A number of writers assert that the idea of   launching military alliances in the region has failed, and they refer to a number of alliances formed over the past decades, beginning with the “Baghdad Pact” in the 1950s.

However others believe that the launch of an “Arab-Zionist NATO” against Iran is currently out of the question, citing the role Iraq plays in bringing Saudi Arabia and Iran closer, in light of reports that talk about the imminent return of relations between Riyadh and Tehran.
