Hezbollah Stands with Yemeni People

News - Middle East: In the interview with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, on Monday, the Lebanese Resistance leader stressed that when it comes to the US-Saudi aggression against Yemeni People, Hezbollah cannot play a mediation role as it openly takes sides; the side of the Yemeni people and Ansarullah.

"Considering that a mediator usually asks for concessions from the parties involved," Sayyed Nasrallah conjectured what concessions could be demanded from Ansarullah.

On the issue of mediation, the Lebanese Resistance leader went on to say that the Iranians stressed that there is nothing that the Yemenis can concede.

He also stressed that the relationship of Hezbollah with Saudi Arabia and the UAE is in no way based on ideological issues; rather, the factors that govern the relationship are merely political.

“The arrests in the UAE are a tool of political pressure on Hezbollah, and they must be dealt with.”

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the claim of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.

The victims of cluster bombs have reached more than 25,000 civilians since the beginning of the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen. The Director of the Executive Center for Mine Action, Brigadier General Ali Safra, has pointed out that the support and resources allocated to field clearance do not reach the level of 2% of what is required to be cleaned.
