News - Yemen: The Presidency of the Yemeni Paliament has condemned the looting of pilgrims returning to the homeland after performing Hajj rituals in Al-Mahfad district, in the Abyan Governorate.

The Parliament denounced these criminal acts that contravene all religious values, tribal customs, international and humanitarian charters and laws, express the moral and value bankruptcy of the mercenaries.

These crimes, attacks and looting of pilgrims' property confirmed crimes of intimidation and a violation of citizens to move between Yemeni governorates, cities and regions.
It called on the tribes of the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa to move and stand firmly towards what the mercenaries are doing of killing and looting travelers and citizens, the latest of which was the interruption of buses for pilgrims and their looting.

The mercenaries of the aggression had intercepted one of the buses transporting pilgrims during their return from performing Hajj, in the Al-Mahfad district in occupied Abyan. They were downed from the bus at gunpoint and their money and possessions were looted.

Activists on social media circulated videos showing the pilgrims being interrupted and looted of money and property by the Saudi-mercenaries, after threatening them with force of arms and getting them down from the bus.
