Ministry of Interior Unveils Yemeni-Made Bass 2 Armored Vehicle

News - Yemen: The Yemeni Ministry of Interior unveiled Friday, the entry of the Bass 2 armored vehicle into service in security missions, revealing some details about its latest technical equipment.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Al-Ajri, said that the "Bass 2" armored vehicle was locally manufactured and equipped with the latest technologies, adding that it "will be a great support for the security men, and a deterrent to anyone who seeks to harm the security and stability of this country."

The interior spokesman pointed out that the armored vehicle comes two years after the launch of work on the "Bass 1" armored vehicles, which was announced by the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdul Karim Amir al-Din al-Houthi, in December 2020.

He stressed that the Ministry of Interior is moving forward in development, industrialization and construction until achieving self-sufficiency.

A week ago, the Yemeni Armed Forces revealed advanced naval missiles capable of hitting any point in the sea from any region in Yemen's geography, manufactured by Yemeni expertise.

During the military parade "The Promise of the Hereafter", Yemeni Naval Force unveils new locally-made land-to-sea missile, Falaq 1, that can reach any point in the sea from any Yemeni governorate.

Mandab 2 missile was also unveiled, which is a winged missile with long-ranges and high targeting accuracy, and can detect targets by means of a radar seeker equipped with it.

Mandeb 1 missile, which was previously used to protect the Yemeni coast in the face of aggression, was also shown.

The Yemeni navy reviewed the Russian-made "Rubij" missile, of which two types are a radar type and the other is a thermal one, and it carries a warhead of half a ton, and it was re-ready using purely Yemeni expertise.

The military parade also included several types of naval mines, air and ground defenses, and a symbolic power of drones, which were made by Yemeni expertise.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and its other regional allies, launched a devastating war on Yemen in March 2015. The eight years of war has killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure. Yemeni people are facing malnutrition, hunger, and famine, which have increased risks of disease and starvation.

As part of its economic war, the US-Saudi aggression worked to drain about 97% of the Yemeni state’s resources, either by controlling them militarily such as oil and gas sources, freezing Yemeni foreign assets and transferring them to mercenaries and financing coalition operations, or imposing siege on the vital port of Hodeidah and the most important port after Aden, which is still in the grip of Sana’a and out of control of the aggression.

On the other hand, the production of various missiles is continuously improving and developing, and it is day after day more accurate, more destructive, lethal and more sophisticated. Despite the advanced and expensive American systems, the Saudi regime failed to confront Yemeni missiles.
