Hadramout Governor: Suspicious US Moves in Governorate Are Monitored

News - Yemen: Hadhramaut Governor, Luqman Baras, confirmed that all US moves in the governorate are monitored by the national forces against foreign presence.

In a statement to Saba news agency, Baras warned against any deals that the US-Saudi mercenaries might conclude with the US occupation under any names and justifications, blaming the pro-aggression authorities in the governorate for the violations of national sovereignty.

He condemned US Ambassador Stephen Fagin's repeated visits to the governorate, which go beyond diplomatic missions to intelligence and military, stressing that the response to these movements and violations of national sovereignty will be surprising for the US occupation, and mercenaries.

He considered the visits of American intelligence delegations to Mukalla and the continuous meetings with the mercenaries as a disgrace on those authorities.

He stressed that the Yemeni people absolutely reject the American interference in the Hadhramaut governorate, which contradicts international norms and laws.

Governor Baras called on the people of Hadhramaut to realize the dangers and confront the conspiracies being hatched against the governorate by the invaders, led by the Americans, British and Saudis, stressing that the Yemeni people will stand by the free people of Hadhramaut to bring down those conspiracies and colonial agendas.

With the rise in the index of turmoil in the global energy markets, American and Western attention was focused on Yemen and what it could produce of gas and oil, to compensate for a percentage of the deficit resulting from the repercussions of the Ukrainian crisis. Meanwhile, the aggression harnessed all the country's revenues to finance mercenaries and implement its suspicious projects and activities in the southern and eastern cities.

The sources of oil and wealth and the strategic location of the governorates of Hadramawt and Shabwa were and still are the focus of the interest and ambitions of the countries involved in aggression, led by USA. This is to impose hegemony on the important channels, seas and waterways, allowing Washington to subjugate Yemen and control the international shipping routes in the Arabian Sea and the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Hadhramaut is the largest governorate in Yemen. It represents more than a third of the country's area, and has a strategic importance as it extends over an important coastal strip on the Arabian Sea with a length of 450 km. In addition, it hoards vast oil, mineral and marine wealth.

The US-Saudi aggression continues its siege on Yemen and prevents the entry of oil ships to the port of Hodeidah, and at the same time it continues to loot oil and gas.

Last month, minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daris revealed in a statement to Almasirah that the quantities of oil looted by the forces of aggression, mercenaries and some complicit oil companies from 2018 until July 2022 amounted to 130 million and 41 thousand and 500 barrels of oil.
