News - Yemen: The Supreme Political Council renewed its rejection of the continuation of the state of no peace and nor war, which the US-Saudi aggression aims to keep Yemen in, stressing that it will not continue indefinitely.

This came during its meeting, Monday, chaired by Mahdi Al-Mashat, where the council was briefed on the existing contacts regarding the talks between Yemen and coalition  related to stopping the aggression and lifting the siege, and its results.

The meeting reaffirmed Yemen's firm stance towards peace that protects Yemen's sovereignty and independence and preserves its unity, welcoming all serious steps in this context.

It pointed out that keenness to achieve peace in Yemen should be embodied by responding to the rights of citizens, foremost of which is the payment of salaries to all state employees and the lifting of the comprehensive blockade.

The meeting stressed the separation of the humanitarian issue from the political and military, stressing that progress in this issue is an indicator of credibility in the success of any mediations, contacts or talks.

The meeting reviewed the reports submitted on the readiness of the armed forces to prevent American and Zionist ambitions in Yemeni wealth, islands and waterways.

The reports emphasized the readiness of the armed forces to confront any threat to Yemeni sovereignty, and that any measures that would double the suffering of the Yemeni people, whether on the economic, humanitarian or military level, would have bad consequences.

Recently, the Minister of Defense, Mohammed Al-Atifi, affirmed that the Yemeni Armed Forces possess today more than ever all the factors of strategic deterrence, and are racing against time to face all challenges and risks.

He warned the US-Saudi aggression against its continuation in its war and aggression against the Yemeni people, stressing that if the enemies continue to follow this path, they will be defeated.

"The one who won back Al-Jawf to Yemeni geography is able to restore all the lands of the of Yemen, and that there is neither discussion about the integrity of national sovereignty over all of Yemeni geography," he said.

Al-Atifi stressed that one of the most prominent factors of victories in the fields of confrontation is when there is a loyal leadership that is proud of belonging to its religious and national identity.

He thanked the people of Al-Jawf and Marib governorates who stood in the side of the nation and the Yemeni people in defending their sovereignty and independence.

He explained that the Yemeni Armed Forces today are stronger than what they were seven years ago. “On the military side, we have reached self-sufficiency in the production of light and medium weapons, and with regard to the manufacture and development of strategic deterrence weapons, drones, and naval and air weapons,” he added.
