Yemen:  The Emirati occupation continues to play its dangerous aggressive role in the occupied southern governorates in Yemen. It is working to arrange the situation in the south, the coasts and the islands to serve the agenda of the US-Israeli duo and prepare them to be under their direct authority and turn them into camps and barracks for the deployment and stationing of the US and Israeli forces.

During the recent period, the UAE signed a security and military cooperation agreement with the pro-aggression government. It freely plays in the southern regions and its coasts as it pleases and in accordance with its political, economic and military interests, common with American and Israeli interests.

Therefore, the task of the occupying power since the beginning of the aggression against Yemen represents the role of the American and Israeli policemen. All its activities and field actions through its forces and mercenaries, politically and militarily, are within a predetermined scheme whose essence is to enable the Israeli entity in the foreground to impose its hegemony over the south and secure its occupation of the islands, coasts, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait directly, as is the case today.

In this regard, military expert Zine El Abidine Othman says: “The agreements concluded by the Emirates with the leaders of its mercenaries, or the so-called Al-Alimi Council, led by the so-called Minister of Defense, which concluded military and security agreements, are in their nature in the course of the US-Israeli plan. These agreements come only as an attempt to legitimize the Emirati presence, and behind it the US-Israeli presence along the coasts, islands and strategic southern regions.”

Regarding the facts of these agreements and the role of mercenaries, Othman explains in an exclusive statement to Al-Masirah newspaper that the data is clear and the role of mercenaries here is to cover this scheme and legitimize it at the military, security and political levels. And also as cheap tools used by the Emirates in the coming period to smooth the situation in the southern regions and secure the operations of the deployment of Israeli forces in the bases and camps and secure their movements, which will be with greater momentum in the Bab al-Mandab and the eastern and western coasts and the islands of Socotra, Mayon and others.

Suspicious Emirati Preparations

“Therefore, what is being planned represents a dangerous act of aggression, as the mercenaries are a tool of the Emirates, and the latter is a tool of the Israeli enemy entity,” Othman added. “The objectives are to enable Israel to occupy the south and translate the goals and aspirations that the Zionists seek in Yemen, which are represented in tightening control over the Bab al-Mandab, coasts and islands directly and turning them into permanent settlements and bases for the Israeli army's navy. It made the island of Socotra, Mayon and the coasts a major center to carry out espionage and intelligence work against Yemen and the countries of the resistance axis, Iran in the forefront. Also to transform them into strategic stations to tighten control over the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Red Sea, and to control the line of international trade and navigation, along the Arabian Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait to the Red Sea, and make it at the disposal of its security and military hegemony.”

The military expert, Othman, confirms that what the Israeli entity, the UAE and its mercenaries are preparing for in southern Yemen is a dangerous scheme that threatens the security and stability of international navigation and the stability of the region as a whole. The desire of the Israeli entity is to control the most important strategic joints of Yemen -its islands, coasts, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait- and to make them main stations for its aggressive and espionage actions towards countries that oppose its existence, specifically Iran and the rest of the axis countries. Consequently, this will entail many repercussions that will put the maritime security system and global trade extending from the Indian Ocean and the Arabian and Red Seas into a state of great danger.

According to Othman, the capital Sana’a is monitoring this plan and takes as its top priority the development of a defense strategy aimed at confronting the Israeli and Emirati forces from the south as a whole and the islands and coasts in particular. Today, the Armed Forces are ready to implement direct response scenarios, and to launch targeting operations against the bases and barracks on which the Israeli and Emirati forces are stationed on the coasts and islands in the south, in addition to targeting the Emirati depth with direct deterrent operations.

Regarding the signing of the UAE occupation state on security, military and anti-terrorism cooperation agreement with the Saudi-backed government, Hussein Al-Ezzi the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs says: “The agreement signed between the UAE occupation and the Saudi-backed government is an illegal act aimed at serving Israel." 

For his part, Zaid Al-Gharsi the head of the media department in the presidency asserts that the agreement is neither legitimate nor legal and does not represent the people of Yemen. However, in reality, what he is talking about is that the UAE is the one that controls everything in those occupied areas. It did not need agreements or permission from the mercenary leaders or the traitorous government. Rather, it moves with everything and implements its colonial plans as it wants.

To legitimize the Emirati presence in the occupied provinces, the Saudi-backed government signed the agreement with the Emirates so that it can play comfortably and unilaterally in southern Yemen and its coasts as it pleases and in accordance with its interests.

Regarding the timing of the signing of the agreement, which comes with the aim of obtaining a legal justification for considering what the UAE is doing in the southern governorates as part of this agreement, Hussein Al-Ezzi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the National Salvation Government says: "The UAE, with its agreement, is trying to use mercenaries as a miserable cover to prolong its illegal presence in our lands, and this is unacceptable.” He warned the UAE of its behavior that is inconsistent with the requirements of peace in Yemen, which makes it vulnerable to targeting.

Deputy Foreign Minister Al-Ezzi confirms that mercenaries appointed from abroad have no legitimacy. Therefore, Sana'a considers the alleged agreement between the UAE and the mercenaries an illegal act and an absurd Emirati insult aimed at undermining the will of the people of Yemen and the pride and interests of Yemen.

Because the UAE's agreement with mercenaries is new aggressive directions towards Yemen and a continuation of the aggression, member of the Political Bureau Ali Al-Qahoum confirmed that the countries involved in aggression are practicing at this stage is clear evidence of the continuing aggressive tendencies towards Yemen. He added that the Emirati announcement of military and security agreements with their mercenary agents is nothing but a declared tendency to continue the aggression, with a new tactic and face, perhaps their satanic plots will be realized. ‏

“We say to the countries involved in aggression that your conspiracies and bets are inevitably unsuccessful, unacceptable and doomed to failure and loss,” Al-Qahoum said. He pointed out that Yemen will bury the occupation projects with its legions, and that Yemen will be victorious, despite the will and orientations of the American, British, Saudi, and Emirati aggression.

Political analysts believe that the UAE's goal in signing this agreement is to facilitate the presence of the Israeli occupation in the ports and coasts of Yemen.

Many analysts believe that the agreement comes within the framework of the Emirati facilitating the presence of the Israeli occupation on the coasts and ports of Yemen. They consider that the occupying entity seeks, through Abu Dhabi, to impose a military and intelligence presence in Yemen strategic areas, including the southwestern coastal strip, Bab al-Mandab, and the islands of Socotra and Mayon.
