Al-Ejri: Any Economic Escalation of US-Saudi Aggression Will Have Great Repercussions

News – Yemen: Sana'a renewed its warning of the consequences of any economic measures taken by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition of aggression to target the people of Yemen, stressing that this step will thwart the mediators' efforts to address the humanitarian issue and will have major repercussions.

"Any economic escalation has no meaning other than obstructing any progress in resolving the humanitarian and economic issue," the member of the National Delegation Abdulmalik Al-Ejri said.

The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, had confirmed in his recent speech that any escalatory steps taken by the coalition of aggression in the economic or military aspect, would be met with a strong and influential move.

The head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, confirmed that any economic escalation would "turn the tables" and lead to dire consequences.

These assurances come in light of increasing indications that the truce renewal negotiations have reached a dead end. That is because of the intransigence of the US-Saudi aggression in exchange for low indicators of achieving real progress.

Al-Ejri clarified that any economic escalation would be a trend "contrary to the efforts and objectives of the intensive meetings that took place in the past weeks."

A high-ranking Omani delegation visited the capital Sana'a last weekend and held constructive negotiations with the Leader of Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, President Mahdi Al-Mashat, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mohammad Abdulkarim al-Ghamari.

Sana'a insists that the US-Saudi aggression must end its blockade and allow the resumption of salary payments to all civil servants in order to commence political negotiations.

Al-Ejri, held the countries involved in aggression responsible for any repercussions that might result from their embarking on a new economic escalation targeting the people of Yemen. He refers to the steps that Sana'a will take to respond to that escalation, the repercussions of which are likely to be broad, given the warnings sent by Sana'a during the past weeks.

The countries involved in aggression use the economic card as a weapon against the Yemenis and as a tool to blackmail Sana'a and pressure it to make concessions at the negotiating table and to trap any solutions. However, the warnings of the revolutionary, political and military leadership confirm categorically that this method will only lead to an explosion of the scene in a way that the forces of aggression and their sponsors cannot contain.
