The US Encourages Continuation of Saudi-Led Aggression Against Yemen

Yemen: The US attempts to obstruct the path of peace in Yemen and push for the return of the conflict, which was confirmed by the Western media, including the “National Interest” magazine, which said in a newly published report that America is obstructing the solution in Yemen.

The American magazine revealed in its report that the war powers resolution in Yemen was withdrawn from voting in the Senate during the past month, noting that if the resolution had been approved, it would have ended the direct US military intervention in the Saudi war in Yemen.

According to the magazine, the withdrawal of the decision came after President Joe Biden and his administration promised to veto the decision if it was passed, which confirms Washington's unwillingness to end the war and to push for a return to military escalation.

Withdrawing the decision of the war powers on Yemen was only one of the steps adopted by Washington to obstruct the peace process in Yemen, whose indicators began to loom on the horizon through Omani mediation.

Among these steps was a suspicious international conference sponsored by the US in its capital, Washington, at the beginning of last January, with the participation of its envoy to Yemen, “Tim Lenderking,” which observers considered an American effort to develop plans and goals for more chaos in Yemen and to prevent the parties from converging.

Among America's steps to obstruct the peace process in Yemen is also US President Joe Biden's commemoration of the first anniversary of the operation that Sana'a called "Yemen's Hurricane", which targeted the Emirati depth, where Biden renewed his country's readiness to continue what he called "defending the UAE".

He stressed Washington's insistence on continuing the war and blockade and pushing for military escalation, which Sana'a considered a clear exposure of the nature of the American role obstructing peace in Yemen.

Commenting on the US President's statement, the Sana'a State Department said that the US President, by remembering what the UAE was subjected to from a natural and legitimate Yemeni response a year ago, and his attempt to shed tears over that operations, is trying again to implicate the UAE and other aggressor countries more and more and encourage them to continuing the war.

The statements by Washington’s deputy delegate to the United Nations, Richard Mills, in which he stipulated reaching a political agreement under UN auspices between Sana’a and the aggression forces, also is considered an American attempt to influence regional efforts to bring Sana’a and Riyadh closer and an attempt to thwart the efforts of Omani mediation.

Finally, the US’s steps to obstruct the path of peace in Yemen are nothing but confirmation of what is certain, which is that the war on Yemen is led by the US and came to serves US's agenda in Yemen, and Saudi Arabia and the UAE are only tools in this war that was declared from Washington.
