"We are about to pass a year after the truce, and Sana'a International Airport is still closed to civilian flights, with the exception of the three weekly flights to Jordan," Jabal said.
He pointed out that the aggression coalition continues to impose a siege on Sana'a airport, and refuses to allow it to operate in a manner that meets the actual need.
The Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation stated that the flights operated to Jordan through Sana'a Airport currently represent only one percent compared to what it was before the aggression, and half one percent of the actual need of the Yemeni people.
He also considered that the coalition of aggression, USA, Britain and France, renewed the closure of Yemeni airspace, indicates its intention to continue imposing the siege on the Yemeni people.
Jabal pointed out that the aggression coalition deliberately closes Sana'a International Airport to deprive the Yemeni people of their legitimate right to travel, which was guaranteed by international laws and agreements in light of the silence of the United Nations.
He called on international organizations and relevant authorities in the field of air transport to take a serious and effective stance to compel the aggression coalition to open the airports of the Republic of Yemen.
On Tuesday, President Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, affirmed that the people of Yemen will not accept any American or foreign military presence on their land.
This came during his meeting with the Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahhab Al-Durra, and head of Aviation in Yemen, Dr. Mohammed Abdulqadir, and his deputy, Rayed Jabal.
During the meeting, they discussed the obstacles created by the US-Saudi aggression and UN, which continues the siege on the people of Yemen and increases their suffering.
President Al-Mashat stressed that the full opening of Sana'a airport and the port of Hodeidah and lifting the blockade is a right.
"We will not allow the continuation of the blockade and the restriction of flights to and from Sana'a International Airport, and if the blockade continues, we will take the necessary steps to lift it from people of Yemen," he said.
