News - Yemen: Yemeni Parliament renewed its condemnation of the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist occupation forces against the Palestinian and Syrian people. In a statement, Parliament deplored the silence of the international community regarding the crimes the Palestinian people are being subjected to by the Zionist enemy.

It stressed the importance of unifying the positions of the Palestinian factions and the countries of the axis of resistance to respond by all possible means available to the crimes of the Zionist enemy.

It also condemned the failure of countries and governments loyal to the occupying Zionist enemy and the state of weakness it has reached because of those positions that represent a failure of the will of the Arab and Islamic masses.

The Council's statement called on the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world to support the Palestinian resistance, with money, weapons and everything possible.

The statement pointed out that the continuation of the Zionist aggression and silence on it represents a flagrant violation of human values, international charters and agreements.

It called on the international community, Security Council and UN to assume legal and moral responsibility and to intervene urgently to stop the attacks launched by the Zionist occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

At least three high-profile commanders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement have been assassinated after Israeli military aircraft launched a series of targeted strikes on the Gaza Strip, days after a fiery flare-up of violence set the besieged coastal enclave on edge.

At least 12 Palestinians were killed in the strikes and 20 others were wounded, according to Palestinian reports, with a number of sites in Gaza City, Rafah and Khan Yunis targeted, among other locations.

The Israeli military said in a statement that the Islamic Jihad resistance commanders in the strikes include Khalil Bahitini, the commander of the al-Quds Brigades in the northern Gaza Strip, Tariq Izz al-Din, a spokesperson for the movement who also manages retaliatory operations in the West Bank and Gaza, and Jihad al-Ghannam, secretary of the movement’s military council.

Following the onset of air raids, dubbed Operation Shield and Arrow, Israeli minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant declared a “special situation at the top” and approved the call-up of reservists “for required roles according to needs.”

Highways were closed around the Gaza Strip border, railway traffic south of the city of Ashkelon was halted, and special instructions were issued by the Home Front Command to the public.
