News - Yemen: The Governor of Shabwa, Awad Al-Awlaki, affirmed that the 22nd of May represented the true will of all the Yemeni People from Al-Mahra to Sa’adah, and a comprehensive station for the struggles of Yemenis over many decades for defending the unity.

He pointed out that those who adopt today the project of dividing Yemen in favor of the occupier represent only themselves and will not gain from behind their treacherous deeds and practices anything but disgrace.

The Governor indicated that the Yemeni people and their revolutionary leadership are able, with their faith, steadfastness and sacrifices, to defeat all conspiracies targeting Yemen and its unity, to make Yemen an independent state with its sovereign decision and free of tutelage and dependence for foreigners.

A day ago, President Mahdi Al-Mashat indicated that the 33rd anniversary of the blessed Yemeni Unity comes at a time when the country is exposed to plots and suspicious projects that seek to undermine it by further dismantling and tearing.

The national day of Yemen is known as Unity Day. It commemorates the unification of North Yemen and South Yemen that took place on May 22, 1990.

Calls for secession are growing louder, particularly in Aden and other major southern cities that are now controlled by the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

As part of attempts to control Hadramout governorate and include it in the secession project, Saudi Arabia and the UAE attempt to drag the tribes in this governorate into the ranks of the separatist scheme through negotiation with the Hadramout tribes.

Earlier, the Supreme Political Council, in its meeting chaired by Mahdi Al-Mashat, commemorated the 33rd anniversary of Yemen's unification, stressing that unity is the destiny and will of the people and the Yemeni people will preserve it.

The Council pointed out that the ambitions of US-Saudi occupiers to harm Yemen's land and people will not happen, and that the plots of the enemies of Yemen have become exposed and rejected by all the Yemeni people in all governorates

It stressed that those involved in insulting Yemen and obstructing peace paths must respect the decision and will of the Yemeni people, who were able, during eight years of aggression, to change all equations.

The Council renewed Sana'a's firm stance on peace, stressing that Saudi Arabia is responsible for the region's stability and its continued obstruction of resolving the humanitarian issue will lead to escalation.
