Yemen: The Saudi-Emirati conflict in Yemen is escalating, foretelling direct confrontations between them over the sharing of influence and the acquisition of oil-rich Hadramout Governorate. 

This challenge will culminate next Sunday with the convening of the sixth session of the National Assembly of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in the city of Mukalla preceded the visit of the Vice-President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Faraj bin Salem Al-Bahsani, to Hadramout Governorate. 

All of these measures did not come out of nowhere, but rather they seem to be from the unannounced outcomes of the meeting organized by the Southern Transitional Council in Aden on the fourth of May. 

These matters as a whole touched the most sensitive nerves of Saudi officials for a number of reasons, perhaps the most prominent of them is that for Saudi Arabia, Hadramout is its dream of control that has been waiting for the appropriate opportunity to achieve it.

The Emirati-Saudi conflict in the southern and eastern governorates has reached an important turning point, and it seems that direct confrontations will happen soon between the two occupying countries through their armed militias in this governorate, which has not been spared even from the US plotting against them.

This is evident from the frequent visits of the US ambassador, politicians, and military personnel to Hadramout Governorate. This regional and international struggle over Hadhramaut Governorate is clear evidence of its large and numerous wealth, and its distinguished geopolitical position.
