"The Red Sands 2 training highlighted the progress made by the two countries towards defeating drones, which pose a threat from enemies," the Central Command said in a statement.
It explained that this training is the culmination of months of prototyping and continuous development based on what was achieved in the previous training.
It also said that the new training included repeated testing of nine systems that use different kinetic and non-kinetic techniques to destroy drones systems.
The statement stated that the commanders of the US Army's 39th Central Task Force led the live fire training phase within the Red Sands 2 training. The statement also explained that this team worked with military and commercial innovators to test promising capabilities aimed at countering drones systems.
The Commander of the US Central Command stressed that the threat of drones is real, and that the Red Sands Integrated Experiment Center is an important step to demonstrate the joint commitment to regional security by the Saudi and American forces.
The American military commander continued that the upcoming training will depend on the successes and knowledge gained from previous training, as the two parties will continue to work together to solve challenging military problems.
Yemeni military capabilities, an obsession that haunts the countries involved in aggression in light of relentless efforts to strip Yemen of them. What was considered an easy task has become an unattainable dream for Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and behind them the US.
The US Patriot systems were completely unable to repel the missile and drone attacks carried out by Yemen’s Army against strategic targets in the Saudi depth in response to the continued aggression and siege on the Yemeni People.
Activists on social media transmitted scenes of Patriot missiles falling on the heads of civilians in Riyadh as they tried to intercept the Yemeni attacks.
The military miracle does not stop at the limits of possessing modern technologies, but rather in the escalating development, industrialization and the acquisition of the necessary experience in the face of the latest US technologies. This was evident during the 8 years of deterrence operations. The Yemeni experience focuses on ballistic and winged missiles, and before that, drones.
Drones have become common in international conflict, and its latest manifestation is the Russian-Ukrainian war. On the other hand, the countries involved in aggression are still handcuffed due to the development of Yemeni capabilities.
