News - Yemen: The Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Al-Atfi, confirmed, Thursday, that there is no peace unless US-Saudi aggression is ended, the siege is lifted, and the foreign forces are expelled from Yemen.

In his speech during the military parade that took place in the capital, Sana'a, the Minister of Defense stressed that the US-Saudi invaders and occupiers must realize that Yemeni People will not accept their presence in Yemen.

He said, "We are ready to fight battles in defense of the homeland and the people. We will double our level of combat readiness during the coming weeks and months as part of a practical and responsible response to deal firmly and deterrently with any coming events."

The Minister of Defense also affirmed that Yemeni People believe that peace has not and will not be achieved except by imposing deterrent military equations that force the aggression coalition to submit to all legitimate and just demands.

He called on the Yemeni People to unite against the US-Saudi aggression adding, "We must sacrifice for the sake of our future generations and be aware of the nature of this stage and the plots that the aggression is planning to target our people."

The Minister of Defense stressed that Yemen is a pillar of regional and international stability. “Stability in Yemen serves the region, and besieging the Yemenis and plundering their wealth will have repercussions at the regional and global levels,” he added.

The Minister of Defense affirmed that the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, is capable of leading the nation in the next stage, whether during peace or war.

At the end of his speech, the Minister of Defense saluted the struggle of our brothers in the occupied governorates against foreign occupation, stressing that “we stand by them until every occupied inch of our land is liberated”.

The capital Sana'a witnesses a huge military parade Thursday morning in Al-Sabeen Square on the 9th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.

The military parade was attended by the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, members of the Council, the Mufti of Yemen, as well as the heads and members of the Parliament, Ministers, Judiciary, Shura Council, and Supreme Court.

In 2014, the people of Yemen led a popular uprising against the Saudi-backed unpopular regime of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.
