Does Saudi Arabia Want to Be Targeted by Yemeni Missiles, Delaying End of Aggression Against Yemen?

Yemen: Last week, the pro-Saudi authorities suspended the flights of the Yemenia Airlines company carrying passengers to Sanaa International Airport, closing the only outlet for millions of Yemenis, in a move that would obstruct the ongoing Omani-brokered peace efforts to end the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen.

This step was considered by Sana'a as a Saudi attempt to evade peace entitlements in the midst of the ongoing negotiations with Omani mediation. Riyadh is responsible for the actions of its “mercenaries”, and it was the one that once said, "It no longer needs agents in Yemen, but rather wants employees who receive their salaries at the end of the month."

The Shura Council in Sana’a confirmed that “the aggression coalition’s continued manipulation of the humanitarian issue through its cheap tools aims to evade commitment to what was negotiated and agreed upon regarding expanding flights to Cairo and India. It also emphasized that it is also a dangerous indicator and an insult to efforts to build confidence and establish peace.”

Sana'a repeatedly affirms its seriousness in keenness to reach the "honorable peace" that guarantees the Yemenis their rights and dignity by stopping the aggression, lifting the siege, and disbursing public sector salaries from the country's sovereign wealth. However, Riyadh and its coalition insist on continuing their efforts to prolong the war, impose the siege, continue the siege, and deprive the Yemenis of their most basic rights.

When Sana'a shows its seriousness and eagerness for peace, this does not mean yielding to the pressure and blackmail of the occupiers, especially since Yemen today is not the weak Yemen of yesterday. Yemen today is capable of imposing its equations and capable of breaking the aggression and siege with fire if the negotiations fail. The world saw in the military parade on the anniversary of the September, 21 revolution that it “is not just for show”.

Sana’a will not hesitate to launch the strongest strikes in defense of a free and independent Yemen. The Yemeni army will complete the liberation of the country, expel foreign forces, and end the aggression and siege, according to a confirmation by a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces.

For his part, Defense Minister, Muhammad Al-Atfi, threatened the aggression coalition to impose “deterrent military equations” that force it to submit to all the legitimate and just demands of the Yemeni people. He stressed that “there is no peace without ending the aggression, lifting the siege, and the departure of foreign forces from Yemen, adding that the invaders and occupiers must realize that Yemen will not accept their presence.

“By sea, land, and air.” This is how the recent military parade in Sanaa drew the deterrence equation for the US-British-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition, while the expected equations will be more severe than the “Great Pain” stage, which included the Abqaiq and Khurais attacks. Rather, their effects will be farther and their effects will be stronger, going beyond the region and the world.

If Saudi Arabia wants to try deterrent equations, missiles, planes, boats, and sea mines, in addition to ground force, then it has what it wants, and if it wants true peace, it must exploit the opportunity for peace and prove good intentions, not the other way around.
