Middle East: It seems that the issue of the victory of the Palestinian resistance has become an obsession that troubles the Saudi regime.

Since the beginning of the "Al-Aqsa storm" operation on October 7th last year, Riyadh has mobilized all its resources to prove its opposition to the Palestinian people's right to resistance, and to support the Zionist killing machine led by the US in committing acts of genocide against the Palestinian people.

Abdullah Al-Hutaylah, the assistant editor-in-chief of the Saudi newspaper Okaz, tweeted on his account on the "X" platform in the past few hours, accusing the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas of "enabling Israel to occupy Gaza" in a provocative language that disregards the feelings of Arabs and Muslims. 

Al-Hutaylah wondered: "Where are those who claim they will eradicate the Zionist enemy?" without bothering to look at the reality surrounding the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The assistant editor-in-chief of Okaz newspaper, deliberately insulting others, ignored the fact that the Israeli occupation derives its moral support from the preludes of normalization with Riyadh, and its financial support from the secret support of the UAE provided to the settlers through businessmen. Not only that, but Al-Hutaylah ignored the Palestinian cause and everything that is happening in it. 

He was not moved by the scenes of civilian victims and their suffering from the siege imposed since the beginning of the war, to address a single appeal to his country's Defense Minister, Khalid bin Salman, or Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to intervene in supporting the Palestinian resistance militarily. 

As they did in "Operation Decisive Storm" when Saudi Arabia, under American sponsorship and with a large coalition, directed its weapons against Yemen for nine years.

It was not required of Al-Hutaylah as a writer to reflect the approach of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to grab his rifle and go to the borders of occupied Palestine, or even to demand Saudi military intervention. Their support for the Zionist entity is clear, even before the "Al-Aqsa storm" battle. 

But all that the honorable Arab and free person wished for was for Al-Hutaylah to bury the issue of normalization with the Zionist entity once and for all, as a minimum duty, just as Saudi Arabia buried its head like an ostrich towards the Arab cause.

Riyadh has confirmed its adherence to normalization with the Zionist entity, stating that the matter is still on the table. According to the American Bloomberg agency, Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih stated that talks on normalizing relations with the Zionist entity are still on the table. When asked if Saudi Arabia has a timeline for normalization, he said that it is an ongoing topic for discussion.
