News - Yemen: The Yemeni Navy affirmed on Monday its commitment to preventing Israeli ships or those bound for the occupied Palestinian ports until the aggression and blockade on Gaza are lifted.

"The Naval Forces continue to carry out their national and patriotic duties to protect the security and safety of maritime navigation in the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, and to prevent the arrival of any shipments or vessels at the occupied ports," stated a source within the Naval Forces.

"Navigation remains secure in the Arabian Gulf, Red Sea, and the Bab el-Mandeb, except for Israeli ships or those bound for the occupied Palestinian ports," he added.

The source affirmed that "the Naval Forces are ready to deal with any emergency or threat to the security and safety of navigation in the region," emphasizing that any ship in need of assistance should only communicate through International Channel 16 or send an email to info@navy.gov.ye.

Since the commencement of the Israeli regime's relentless military campaign against Gaza in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation. The Armed Forces have conducted recent attacks on ships with ties to Israel near Yemeni ports, including the interception and seizure of a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime on November 19.

The ongoing Israeli siege has inflicted heavy casualties on Palestinians in Gaza, who have been enduring the war since October 7.

Gaza's Health Ministry said over 24,000 people, mostly women and children, had been killed in the war that the regime started following an operation staged by the Palestinian territory's resistance movements.
