According to the investigation, the report revealed the alleged involvement of the UAE government in facilitating the entry of members of a private US security company called Spear Operations Group. These mercenaries were reportedly hired by the UAE to carry out assassinations in Aden, with one of the mercenaries confessing to having carried out 40 assassinations alone.
Abdulkarim Al-Saadi, the head of "the Southern Civil Forces Gathering," has called for comprehensive investigations involving all parties mentioned in the BBC's investigation. He emphasized the importance of thoroughly examining the facts and evidence presented.
Al-Saadi also urged human rights organizations, relevant authorities, and the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition to take a stance on the alleged regional party that purportedly encouraged mercenaries to commit assassinations against Yemeni citizens.
Yemeni activists on social media are demanding the filing of a lawsuit against the UAE in the International Court of Justice. They view the reported crimes and assassinations committed by the UAE against the Yemeni people as a significant and shameful scandal, particularly following the broadcast of the BBC film on the UAE's alleged role in the assassinations in Yemen.
Since the beginning of the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen, Aden, and other southern governorates grapple with pervasive security issues, including daily crimes and instability. Forces aligned with the US-Saudi aggression and Saudi-Emirati occupation maintain control, contributing to a climate of chaos.
The region witnesses frequent abductions, bombings, and factional clashes as various groups vie for power. Additionally, there has been a troubling increase in targeted assassinations, affecting military personnel, security leaders, religious figures, and social leaders across southern Yemen.
The BBC investigation comes as Yemen has returned to the international spotlight following attacks on Israel-bound ships in the Red Sea.
Analysts believe that the release of such a report at a time when the Israeli enemy is committing heinous crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza is nothing more than an attempt to divert the attention of the Yemeni people from an issue other than the Palestinian cause.
Over the past month, the Yemeni Armed Forces have staged many such strikes against Israeli vessels or those bound for the occupied Palestinian territories' ports.
The operations have been described as a response to the October 7-present war that the Israeli regime has been waging against Gaza following an operation carried out by the Palestinian territory's resistance movements.
At least 24,620 Palestinians, around 70 percent of whom are women, children, and adolescents, have been killed in the brutal onslaught so far.
The United States and the UK have also conducted several missile attacks against Yemeni targets in response to the Yemeni strikes.
