News - Yemen: Mohammed Abdulsalam, the head of the National Delegation, affirmed on Monday that among the fruits of Yemeni resilience against the US-Saudi aggression over nine years is a robust presence alongside Palestine and Gaza.

"On the ninth anniversary of the Day of Resilience, we express gratitude to Allah for the great support, patience, and victory bestowed upon us," Abdulsalam stated in a post on X.

He extended greetings to the Yemeni people, their leadership, martyrs, wounded, prisoners, and Armed Forces who fought to defend Yemen's sovereignty and independence.

Abdulsalam concluded by saying: "Among the fruits of this resilience is the strong and active Yemeni presence alongside Palestine and Gaza."

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression has targeted neighborhoods and populated areas and destroyed the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.

Despite the aggression's plans to crush Yemen's resolve and seize control within a few weeks, Yemeni resilience thwarted the aggressors' schemes. Now, after nine years, Yemen celebrates the National Day of Resilience.

This year's anniversary of resilience coincides with Yemen's unwavering support for the Palestinian people, who face a genocidal war in Gaza by the Zionist enemy.

The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badreddin al-Houthi, declared last Thursday that Yemen, both officially and popularly, stands in full solidarity with Palestine, with a total of 479 Yemeni strikes launched against the enemy entity using rockets and drones.

The Yemeni Armed Forces enforce a ban on Zionist navigation through Bab el-Mandeb and the Indian Ocean, across the Arabian and Red Seas, and conduct targeted operations against Israeli, American, and British ships.
