News - Yemen: Commander of the Wahbi Brigades, Bekil Saleh al-Wahbi, has issued a warning regarding the suspicious American military activities in the region,  emphasizing that these Activities are closely monitored by the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Al-Wahbi stated that the United States is covertly planning a military escalation in Yemen through its proxies and direct forces. He added that American activities are shrouded in secrecy and involve clandestine meetings in various locations, including Hadhramout, Al-Mukalla, Yemeni islands, and Saudi Arabia.

He clarified that the American strategy aims to shift the conflict from the sea to the ground in Yemen in an attempt to achieve a strategic advantage and undermine international efforts towards peace negotiations. Al-Wahbi suggested that this could be a tactic to pressure Yemen to withdraw its support for Palestine amid the ongoing Israeli genocide on Gaza.

The leader of the Wahbi Brigades warned of significant retaliation from Yemeni Armed Forces and the Yemeni people in the event of any escalation. 

He dismissed recent statements by the US Navy regarding the withdrawal of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and the destroyer USS Gravely from the Red Sea to the eastern Mediterranean as mere attempts at military evasion.

 Lebanon’s al-Akhbar newspaper has reported that the US is planning a large-scale aerial assault on Yemen. 

The attacks are intended to support Yemeni factions opposed to Ansarullah and aligned with the UAE.

Yemen has been a key element of a regional campaign targeting Israeli and US interests, which seeks an end to the brutal war on Gaza.

Recent months have seen Yemeni forces seizing or launching drone and missile attacks on ships linked to Israel, the US, or the UK in regional waters.

Since October, when Israel initiated its Gaza offensive, Yemen has also targeted ports controlled by Israel. Yemen maintains that attacks on shipping will persist until Israel ceases its aggression on Gaza.
