Yafa (Jaffa) is no longer safe. The announcement by the Yemeni army about continuously targeting Tel Aviv reflects an attempt to impose a new equation on the ground: civilians in Tel Aviv in exchange for civilians in Gaza. This equation aims to transfer the pressure suffered by civilians in Gaza due to the ongoing siege and aggression to the civilians in Tel Aviv.
This development carries significant strategic and social implications. Militarily, the Yemeni army's threat increases the security challenges Israel will face. Increasing attacks on Tel Aviv means increased pressure on air defense systems like the Iron Dome and the Patriot system, exposing weaknesses and eroding public confidence in these systems. Thus, repeated attacks will place significant strain on material and human resources, depleting them over time.
The operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces against an important target in the occupied area of Jaffa, referred to by Israelis as “Tel Aviv,” captured the attention of Zionist media, which expressed great fear about the operation and criticized the “army” and the Zionist government.
Zionist media expressed concern and anger following the operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces in “Tel Aviv”, Friday, criticizing the performance of the security and military institutions and attacking the Zionist government and its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Zionist media spoke of Israel’s loss of deterrence against Yemen, emphasizing that “what happened in Tel Aviv is nothing less than weakness.” A Zionist media platform confirmed a “serious operational failure in the occupation army,” as “there was no warning or detection from any of its radars on the ground, in the air, or at sea.”
The media platform pointed out that no radar of the occupation “army” detected the drone used in the operation, nor did it activate an alarm for settlers to prevent hitting a strategic international target. It clarified that the targeting happened just tens of meters away from the American consulate in “Tel Aviv.”
The platform confirmed that the occupation “army” experienced “complete blindness during a period when all systems were on high alert,” warning that “this is not about a school in Eilat or a house near the border in Metula.”
Zionist media considered the drone explosion a major failure, emphasizing that the air force, with all its defense systems, could only respond after the explosion. It stressed that “no one in the occupation army has provided an explanation since 5:30 AM,” asserting that there are no clear answers for the settlers.
Amir Buhbut, a military affairs analyst at the Zionist “Walla” site, questioned, “What if the drone had exploded in the heart of the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv?” He added, “The drone incident proves that deterrence has collapsed.”
In addition to what the Zionist media said about the loss of deterrence against the Yemenis, the Zionist opposition leader, Yair Lapid, affirmed that “whoever loses deterrence in the north and the south also loses it in the heart of Tel Aviv,” emphasizing that “the drone explosion is further evidence that the government cannot provide security.”
Similarly, Avigdor Lieberman, a member of the Knesset and head of the “Yisrael Beiteinu” party, said, “Whoever does not prevent rockets on Kiryat Shmona and Eilat should not be surprised by their arrival in Tel Aviv.”
The Zionist enemy army announced that the visit of the so-called commander of the Zionist air force to Britain was cut short after a drone attack on the city of “Tel Aviv.”
The Zionist Broadcasting Authority reported that General Tomer Bar, commander of the Zionist air force, shortened his visit to Britain following the announcement by Yemen of its attack on Tel Aviv with a drone, resulting in the death and injury of nine Zionists.
The Zionist “Maariv” newspaper confirmed that the “Yafa” drone, revealed by the Yemeni Armed Forces and used to target “Tel Aviv,” is the “first shot,” emphasizing that the Yemenis unveiled a “balance-breaking weapon.”
The Zionist “Haaretz” newspaper considered the Yemeni operation with the drone to reflect a new phase of the ongoing war between “Israel” and its enemies since October 7, 2023, explaining that this war increasingly takes the form of a regional and multi-front conflict.
On the Zionist enemy side, the technology and Iron Dome systems failed to detect the drone until settlers reported an explosion in the capital of the enemy entity.
Zionist media confirmed that with all the technology boasted about in “Tel Aviv,” they failed to detect the drone’s breach, adding sarcastically that “the whole country woke up from sleep, only the Minister of Defense Yoav Galant remained to be woken up.”
Confusion followed the attack among enemy authorities, with contradictory statements attempting to justify the Yemeni attack and its material and human losses. The enemy police announced receiving between 600 and 700 phone reports about the explosion, stating that the explosive device was “foreign” and might have come from abroad.
Contrary to what the enemy police said about the drone exploding in the air, Zionist media admitted that a settler was killed and at least eight others were injured by the drone hitting a target in “Tel Aviv.”
A Zionist military official admitted to Reuters that the drone that hit “Tel Aviv” was of a larger and longer-range type and that the investigation into its source is still ongoing.
A US White House official claimed to the Zionist “Yedioth Ahronoth” newspaper that the United States is aware of the incident in “Tel Aviv” and is following and investigating it.
The American “New York Times” newspaper, quoting eyewitnesses in “Tel Aviv,” acknowledged that the explosion was so strong that it could be heard miles away.
The American “Axios” website described the attack on “Tel Aviv” early today as one of the most dangerous attacks since October 7, while the American “Newsweek” magazine mentioned that the attack from Yemen on “Tel Aviv” is one of the most disruptive attacks on “Israel” security since October 7.
Meanwhile, activists on social media circulated images of the destruction in the explosion area in occupied Jaffa, “Tel Aviv.”
Military and strategic expert Major General Mohammad Al-Somadi described the Yemeni Armed Forces’ attack on the heart of occupied Jaffa (Tel Aviv) with an offensive drone as one of the most dangerous operations faced by the Zionist enemy since the war on Gaza began.
Major General Al-Somadi described the attack as “exceptional and placing Israel in a predicament,” carrying operational and intelligence implications and impacting psychological warfare, evident from the widespread panic in Zionist society.
He pointed out that the drone entering the airspace of the occupying entity and reaching the heart of “Tel Aviv” represents a new situation after the group previously targeted the areas of Eilat and Haifa, confirming that the attack indicates Zionist security and military shortcomings considering the state of war experienced by the occupying entity, which should have had its radar and air defense systems on high alert.
Regarding the likelihood of the Zionist enemy army’s response to the exceptional attack, Al-Somadi said that “despite the army’s threats to retaliate, it is not in its interest to escalate the war in the region given the ongoing targeting from fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.”
Notably, observers believe that targeting “Tel Aviv” provided a microcosm of the war scene in any upcoming regional war, especially with Hezbollah, which does not need drones to cover 2000 km to reach the Zionist depth, sending a message to the proxies of America and the usurping entity that all options are on the table, and Sanaa is neither lacking the necessary courage nor the capabilities to do more.
