News - Yemen: The Political Bureau of Ansarollah condemned the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas resistance movement, Ismail Haniyeh, describing it as a cowardly and heinous act targeting a symbol of the nation and a leader of the resistance. 

“The assassination of Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran constitutes a terrorist crime, and a flagrant violation of the international law,” Ansarullah said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Political Political Bureau of Ansarollah of Ansarollah reiterated their support for Hamas and all resistance factions in confronting the US-backed Zionist arrogance. They affirmed that the Zionist enemy's continued genocidal crimes and assassination of leadership figures indicate its incompetence and utter failure in the war.

The statement called on the hesitant, particularly the ruling regimes, to awaken from their slumber and work earnestly to preserve the nation's dignity and support Palestine. It renewed the commitment and determination to support Palestine and its cause and to continue the path of resistance until victory.

The Political Bureau affirmed that the assassination of leader Haniyeh would not deter the Palestinian people nor prevent their continued resistance; instead, it would strengthen their resolve and resilience in facing the Zionist enemy.

On Wednesday morning, Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed when their residence in the Iranian capital was hit in an attack.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attack is under investigation and the results will be announced later in the day.

Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
