American Fingerprints in the Al-Daraj Massacre in Gaza

News - Middle East: American media reports revealed on Sunday that the Israeli enemy used US-made precision-guided bombs in the massacre at the Al-Tabi'een School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza, which resulted in the martyrdom of 100 Palestinians, including women and children, as well as dozens of injuries.

The Director of the Supply Department of the Civil Defense in Gaza, Mohammed Al-Mughair, confirmed that the Israeli forces used three lethal American missiles of the Mark 84 (MK-84) type, which weigh more than 2,000 pounds and reach temperatures of 7,000 degrees, in the bombing that targeted the Al-Tabi'een School and Mosque in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza.

Al-Mughair explained in press statements that the Al-Tabi'een School was housing approximately 2,400 displaced persons before it was bombed by Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, American media acknowledged that the missiles used in the massacre were American-made. Footage of the aftermath filmed by CNN showed parts of an explosive device that Trevor Ball, a former US Army explosive ordnance disposal technician, confirmed were from a GBU-39 small diameter bomb.

According to weapons expert Chris Cobb Smith, the GBU-39, which is manufactured by Boeing, is a high-precision munition “designed to attack strategically important point targets” while causing low collateral damage.

However, using any munition, even of this size, will always incur risks in a densely populated area , said Cobb Smith, a former British Army artillery officer.

Additionally, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that US-made JDAM-guided bombs, or what is known as "heavy rain," were used in the school bombing. This type of bomb had previously been used in massacres against Yemeni civilians committed by the US-Saudi aggression over the past ten years.

The newspaper noted that these bombs are "GPS-guided and rely on advanced sensing technology and artificial intelligence." They are designed to be unguided, free-falling bombs, part of what is known as "dumb bombs," and are the largest version of the Mark 80 series bombs. They have been developed to slow down their descent to ensure that the aircraft can distance itself from them as much as possible.

Washington Justifies the Massacre

Washington, which promotes itself as a mediator between the Palestinians and Israel, justified the Israeli massacre against the displaced persons who were targeted during dawn prayers at the Al-Tabi'een School, which was sheltering them in central Gaza, adopting the Israeli narrative regarding the massacre.

The White House said in a statement, "We are in contact with our Israeli counterparts, who said they targeted senior Hamas officials, and we are requesting more details." The statement added, "We know that Hamas uses schools as gathering and operational sites."

The statement expressed concern "over the reports of civilian casualties among Palestinians due to the airstrike on a compound that includes a school."

The Israeli enemy had targeted the Al-Tabi'een School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, where displaced persons had sought refuge after their homes were destroyed in the besieged strip.

The Israeli enemy deliberately targeted the school during dawn prayers to cause the highest number of casualties, resulting in at least 100 martyrs and dozens of injuries while they were praying.

The Israeli airstrikes targeted two floors in the Al-Tabi'een displacement shelter, one housing women and children and the other serving as a prayer area for the displaced.

With the targeting of Al-Tabi'een School, the number of schools housing displaced persons that have been bombed by the Israeli enemy in Gaza City alone in the past 10 days has risen to 13, leaving a large number of dead and injured.

According to documentation by the Government Media Office, the recent massacres have increased the number of inhabited displacement centers targeted by the enemy since the start of the genocide in Gaza to 173 schools and displacement centers, with the number of martyrs in these massacres exceeding 1,150.

The United States supports the Israeli enemy in its massacres and genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip, providing political, economic, and military backing to the entity.

Backed by the US and its Western allies, the Israeli regime launched an all-out invasion of Gaza after it was caught off-guard by Operation Al-Aqsa Storm inside the occupied territories in October last year.

At least 39,790 Palestinians have since been killed, most of them women and children, and 92,002 others injured in the merciless Israeli aggression.

Israel has also been enforcing a crippling siege on the coastal territory by choking off the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory.
