News – World: Russia reiterated its condemnation on Thursday of the US-British aggression against Yemen, affirming that it violates international law.

Dmitry Polyanskiy, the deputy Russian representative to the UN Security Council, stated that the airstrikes carried out by the Western military coalition against Yemen constitute a violation of international law and could lead to an escalation with unexpected consequences.

Polyanskiy linked the operations in Yemen to the Zionist aggression on Gaza, emphasizing that the operations would cease immediately if the aggression on Gaza were stopped.

Regarding the Yemeni operations in the Red Sea, the Russian representative said that Ansarullah's actions are not without cause but rather reflect the level of frustration in the region regarding the policies of the Israeli occupation, which seeks to erase the Gaza Strip. He indicated that "the escalation in the Red Sea cannot be calmed without halting the war in Gaza."

He explained that the Security Council's inaction regarding Gaza increases frustration in the Arab street, leading to support for Ansarullah's position. He clarified that the Council has failed to stop the war on Gaza due to the American position supporting "Israel."

The US-UK aggressive airstrikes on Yemen continue in clear violation of Yemeni sovereignty, as an attempt to deter Yemen from its decision to prevent Israeli ships from passing through the Red Sea in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, who are facing a genocidal war by the savage Zionist entity.

Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, following the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Palestinian resistance movements.
