Several images were published after the first targeting, showing significant and direct damage to the ship as a result of the attack.
However, the ship returned—seemingly after repairs—to the same operational area. The Armed Forces deemed it necessary to punish and target it again to send a clear message to other ships about the seriousness and strictness of the ban imposed across the entire Yemeni operational theater against all categories of targeted ships, including those previously targeted.
This message complements the one sent by the storming and burning of the ship "Sounion," which was a clear, direct, and strong warning that any attempt to breach the Yemeni ban will not be without significant risk. It emphasized that attempts to maneuver, deceive, or rely on American and European protection are futile, as the Yemeni Armed Forces now effectively and strictly control the maritime passage, enforcing the highest levels of the ban on navigation linked to the Zionist enemy.
The repeated precise targeting of the ship indicates the Armed Forces' determination to strengthen their grip on the operational area, including parts distant from the direct coastal view, as is the case in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea. This signifies a commitment to expanding the strict state of the ban in the Red Sea to the rest of the Yemeni operational theater, a point that the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, has emphasized on several previous occasions.
Since Yemen entered the Al-Aqsa Storm battle in support of Gaza and imposed a blockade on Zionist navigation through Arab seas, the Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted dozens of operations against enemy ships violating the blockade.
After the US and Britain's aggression against Yemen, which launched airstrikes in an attempt to prevent Yemeni from defending Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces have added the warships of these two nations to their target list.
Between November 19, 2023, and August 7, 2024, 101 American ships, destroyers, and frigates, including the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower, as well as 12 British ships and destroyers, have been targeted. Additionally, 41 ships owned by the temporary Zionist enemy entity and 45 ships owned by companies violating Yemen's blockade on Zionist ports have also been targeted.
