News – Yemen:  Hamas's acting representative in Yemen, Moaz Abu Shamala, described Yemen's decision to join the Al-Aqsa Storm as a bold and courageous choice that has elevated Yemen's status and recorded its name in the brightest pages of history.

In a speech during a celebratory event held by the Ministry of Civil Service on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday on Tuesday, Abu Shamala stated that "the Yemeni decision has created a comprehensive system of participation in this battle, starting with the weekly million-man marches in all provinces, continuing with the targeting of Israeli ships or those dealing with the Israeli enemy, and culminating in strikes on the political and commercial capital of the entity known as 'Tel Aviv.'"

"All of this indicates that the Yemeni decision is moving forward with boldness and strength in supporting and aiding the Palestinian people until the aggression against them stops, and in victory for the Palestinian cause," he added. "The Yemenis will have the honor of liberating Al-Aqsa and Palestine."

He noted that after 11 months of the Al-Aqsa Storm, the heroes of the resistance in Gaza continue to wage a global war against the Israeli enemy and its allies, the US and the UK, standing strong and fulfilling their responsibilities in the West Bank, sacrificing for this great cause.

Since Yemen entered the Al-Aqsa Storm battle in support of Gaza and imposed a blockade on Zionist navigation through Arab seas, the Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted dozens of operations against enemy ships violating the blockade.

After the US and Britain's aggression against Yemen, which launched airstrikes in an attempt to prevent Yemeni from defending Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces have added the warships of these two nations to their target list. 

Between November 19, 2023, and August 7, 2024, 101 American ships, destroyers, and frigates, including the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower, as well as 12 British ships and destroyers, have been targeted. Additionally, 41 ships owned by the temporary Zionist enemy entity and 45 ships owned by companies violating Yemen's blockade on Zionist ports have also been targeted.
