Ansarullah Political Bureau Condemns Mawasi Khan Younis Massacre, Calls for Global Solidarity with Palestine
News - Yemen: The Political Bureau of Ansarullah condemned the recent massacre in the Mawasi Khan Younis area, which resulted in dozens of martyrs, wounded individuals, and missing persons.
In a statement on Monday, the bureau criticized the ongoing escalation of violence by enemy forces, attributing it to the complicity of the United Nations and ongoing American support.
The bureau highlighted that Zionist forces deliberately targeted ambulances and civil defense vehicles, obstructing rescue efforts and the search for potential survivors.
The statement urged Arab and Islamic countries to fulfill their responsibilities and confront the Zionist enemy directly. It also called on all freedom-loving people worldwide to mobilize in solidarity with the Palestinian people until the aggression ceases and the blockade is lifted.
The Political Bureau of Ansarullah reaffirmed its support for Palestine, stating that Yemen stands with the Palestinian people from Sana’a to Gaza.
According to Palestinian media outlets, at least 40 people were killed and 60 others injured in the Israeli attack on people sheltering in tents in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.
The strikes involved heavy missiles and left craters up to 9 meters (30 feet) deep in an area where people were living in at least 20 tents.
Ambulance and Civil Defense teams are facing considerable difficulty retrieving the bodies of the victims.
Initial assessments suggest the attack is “one of the most heinous massacres in the ongoing frenzied war”.
Witnesses described chaotic scenes in the area, with fires burning and Israeli reconnaissance planes flying overhead.
Israel launched its atrocious onslaught against the Gaza Strip, targeting hospitals, residences, and houses of worship, since Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm, against the usurping regime on October 7 last year.
At least 40,988 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children. Another 94,825 individuals have sustained injuries as well.
