Hezbollah's Retaliation: New Rocket Strikes Escalate Tensions in Northern Israel

Middle East: This morning began heavily for the residents of the northern settlements in occupied Palestine, following a bloody night due to the advanced rockets fired by Hezbollah on multiple settlements, reaching Haifa and beyond.

Schools in the northern settlements decided to close, along with universities, beaches, and tourist centers. By the early morning hours, fires spread in several areas, as Hezbollah avenged its martyrs and the civilians who were killed in recent days, whether through the "pager" device explosions last Tuesday, the wireless devices last Wednesday, or the martyrs who died due to the brutal Zionist aggression on southern Beirut last Friday.

Before Hezbollah's widespread missile strikes, the Israeli occupation air force carried out a series of violent raids on southern Lebanon, exceeding fifty airstrikes, claiming to target Hezbollah's missile launch platforms. The enemy's data indicated that the party's fighters were ready to deliver harsh blows. However, as events unfolded, it became clear that these raids had no significant impact.

New Missiles in Action

Fires erupted in many settlements in northern occupied Palestine, demonstrating to the world that the Zionist enemy is deterred and incapable of countering Hezbollah's rockets, which, until now, have primarily been less destructive Katyusha rockets. During these operations, Hezbollah introduced a new system with Fadi-1 and Fadi-2 rockets.

- Fadi-1 rocket: caliber 220 mm, range of 80 km.
- Fadi-2 rocket: caliber 302 mm, range of 105 km.

These missiles were used for the first time since Hezbollah entered the war to support Gaza on October 8, 2023, expanding the fire zone to include Haifa for the first time and employing new missiles beyond the previously used Katyushas.

Hezbollah appears to be adopting a gradual escalation approach against the temporary entity. The party's warehouses are still filled with thousands of precise and point-targeted missiles that can reach far distances, well beyond Eilat in southern occupied Palestine. However, Hezbollah is reserving these for the right moment.

What is Ramat David Airbase?

In three consecutive statements, Hezbollah clarified the areas targeted deep within northern occupied Palestine settlements, with the number of rockets exceeding one hundred.

One key target was the Ramat David Airbase, one of Israel's three main airbases. Located in the triangle between Haifa, Jenin, and Tiberias, it spans over 10 square kilometers and is the largest airbase in the northern sector. It launches combat and reconnaissance aircraft and is surrounded by an advanced missile defense and air defense system.

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems

In addition to Ramat David, Hezbollah fighters targeted the military industrial complexes of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems with Fadi-1, Fadi-2, and Katyusha rockets in retaliation for the recent Zionist aggression on Lebanon.

Rafael is responsible for developing and producing the Iron Dome missile defense system for short- and medium-range missiles, as well as David's Sling, which deals with medium- to long-range threats. They are also working on developing a laser defense system in response to the increasing missile capabilities of regional resistance movements.

The company has also produced the Trophy active protection system for tanks against guided missiles, addressing the issues encountered by Israeli tanks during the 2006 war with the resistance in southern Lebanon.

Additionally, Rafael develops Spike ground-to-ground anti-tank and fortification missiles, Popeye air-to-ground missiles, as well as a sea-to-ground variant to be launched from submarines, and remotely operated systems for boats, vehicles, and weapons, including the Wave Breaker sea-to-sea missiles.

The company's headquarters is located in the Haifa Bay area, with its main industrial complex situated east of Haifa, between the coast and the Sea of Galilee, outside the city's urban area.

A New Phase of Confrontation

This marks a qualitative leap and a new phase. Through its recent escalations in Lebanon, Israel seeks to return the settlers to the northern settlements. Hezbollah, however, challenges Netanyahu by affirming that the only way to return them is to stop the aggression and siege on Gaza, not through escalation and war.

The fires of Hezbollah today signal that the displacement zone will widen, and the mass exodus from the northern regions will increase. The scenes circulated today clearly show Hezbollah's strength, and if this is just the beginning, one can only imagine what the end might look like.
