These attacks resulted in war crimes, brutal massacres, and the extermination of entire families. During this period, 54 people were martyred, and more than 50 others, mostly children, women, and the elderly, were wounded. Dozens of homes were destroyed, properties were severely damaged, and waves of grief, fear, displacement, and suffering were caused. This happened in full view of the world, the international community, the United Nations, and the International Court of Justice.
Here are the key details of the crimes committed against the Yemeni people on this day:
2015: Over 60 Casualties in Multiple War Crimes in Sana’a
On this day in 2015, US-Saudi coalition airstrikes targeted various areas in the capital Sana’a and its surrounding regions, resulting in over 60 martyrs and wounded, the destruction of homes, properties, residential neighborhoods, and a school, exacerbating the suffering of the residents.
32 Casualties in Massacre at Al-Subahi
In the Al-Sabaeen district, airstrikes targeted the Beihan neighborhood in Al-Subahi, causing 19 martyrs, 13 wounded, the destruction of several homes, and widespread damage to properties and nearby shops. The area was engulfed in grief and terror, with families displaced, leaving their destroyed homes behind.
Rescuers were pulling bodies from the rubble, overwhelmed by the fear of more airstrikes, as the smell of death and the cries of children and women filled the air.
19 Casualties in War Crime in Medbah Neighborhood
In the Ma’een district, coalition airstrikes targeted civilian homes in the Medbah neighborhood, resulting in seven martyrs and 12 wounded, the destruction of homes, widespread damage to neighboring properties, and the displacement of terrified families.

In Bani Hushaysh, airstrikes targeted Abdullah Al-Wazir School, resulting in five student martyrs and three wounded, along with the destruction of a large part of the school, causing widespread panic among parents and nearby residents.
2016: 22 Casualties in Genocide in Sa’adah
On this day, the Saudi-American coalition targeted the home of the citizen Mohammed Jaratum in the Mushriqah area of the Razih district, killing 11 people and wounding 11 others, turning the home into a mass grave. This was one of the numerous crimes committed against civilians in Yemen during these years of conflict.
September 22, 2017: 7 Casualties in Airstrikes on Sa’adah
The coalition airstrikes targeted the home of citizen Lahak Al-Jasari in the Ra’in area, killing five people and wounding two others. The family, like many others, was living peacefully in their home when it was destroyed, leaving their lives in ruins.
2018: Airstrikes target the Dream Car Company in Hodeidah
In 2018, airstrikes hit the Dream Car Company on Suhail Street in Hodeidah, causing extensive damage to the building and the cars, inflicting further suffering on the civilians of the area.
Over the course of nine years, countless war crimes have been committed against the civilians of Yemen, with the international community remaining silent. The question remains: Where is international law? When will justice be served for the Yemeni people, and when will the war criminals be held accountable?
