These attacks resulted in over 44 martyrs and 40 injured, most of whom were women and children. The destruction of homes and entire families, cutting off livelihoods, displacing dozens of families, worsening the humanitarian crisis, and amplifying Yemen’s deteriorating situation were among the devastating consequences.
The following details outline some of the major crimes committed by the aggression on this day:
2015: 11 Martyrs and Several Wounded in Airstrikes on Sana'a
An attack on a mosque in the Safia District of Sana'a resulted in 11 martyrs and numerous injuries during prayer, turning a place of worship into a scene of horror and death. Bombs inside the mosque left bodies and the remains of the faithful scattered alongside torn pages of the Quran.
2015: 26 Casualties in War Crime on Hajah
An airstrike in the Hajja Province targeted the home of a Yemeni family, killing six people and injuring 20 others, mostly children and women. Their dreams of a peaceful morning turned into a nightmare as their home became a mass grave.
2015: 18 Casualties in War Crime on Ibb
On September 24, 2015, coalition warplanes launched a deadly attack on a civilian home, Bin Laden Park, and a sports stadium in Ibb, killing eight innocent people and injuring ten others. The strikes targeted civilians, not military sites, destroying homes and turning lives into rubble. Children playing in the park faced sudden terror, their joyful moments replaced with fear and chaos.
2016: 7 Casualties in Airstrikes on Taiz
In Taiz, airstrikes targeted transportation routes, killing two and injuring five, and a bridge in Sa'adah was bombed, further isolating and paralyzing civilian movement and access to essential supplies.
2017: Martyrs and Wounded in US-Saudi Raids in Sa'adah
Multiple airstrikes across Sa'adah targeted civilians, homes, and farms, intensifying fear and leading to mass displacement and the destruction of infrastructure.
2017: War Crimes in Sa'adah
On September 24, 2017, coalition airstrikes targeted civilians in Yemen's Sa'adah province, hitting homes, farms, and infrastructure in Sahar, Munabbih, Shada, and Majz districts. In Munabbih, a child was killed while tending sheep. Shada saw homes destroyed, forcing families to flee. In Majz, seven strikes damaged key roads and bridges, worsening the humanitarian crisis. In Sahar, airstrikes destroyed a vital water well, depriving locals of clean water. These repeated attacks on civilians highlight ongoing war crimes, with little international response.
2019: 16 Martyrs and Several Wounded in US-Saudi Raids on Al-Dhalea
In Al-Dhalea, an airstrike on the home of Abbas Al-Halimi claimed 16 lives, including many children, leaving their bodies in ruins and ashes under the rubble. The crime shocked the community, with no military connection to the family, amplifying the cruelty of the attack.
These ongoing crimes over nine years highlight the continued atrocities against Yemenis, with calls for international action to stop the aggression and bring the perpetrators to justice.
