Yemeni Foreign Ministry Condemns Zionist Aggression on Lebanon, Warns of Regional War

News - Yemen: The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the recent aggression by the Zionist entity on Lebanon’s southern suburbs, labeling it a dangerous escalation that risks igniting a regional conflict.

In a statement released on Friday, the ministry denounced the attack in the harshest terms, warning that its repercussions would extend far beyond the Middle East, potentially affecting the entire world.

"The Zionist entity is pushing the region towards a regional war, the consequences of which will not only affect the region but the entire world," the ministry stated.

The Yemeni government attributed the ongoing violence to the international community's failure to hold Israel accountable for its actions in Gaza. "The failure of the international community to curb the Zionist entity in Gaza is what encouraged it to continue its aggression against Lebanon," the statement added.

The Yemeni Ministry also highlighted the role of the United States in the conflict, accusing Washington of complicity in the crimes committed by Israel. "The United States is a partner in all the crimes committed by the occupying Zionist entity in Lebanon and Palestine," the ministry stated.

Regarding U.S. diplomatic efforts, the Yemeni government expressed skepticism, claiming that calls for de-escalation are merely tactics to ease international pressure on Israel. "U.S. talk of de-escalation is merely an attempt to reduce international pressure on the occupying entity and give it more time to commit crimes," the ministry said.

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Yemen's unwavering stance in support of Palestine and Lebanon. "The position of Yemen remains firm in supporting Palestine, Lebanon, and their brave resistance in confronting the brutal Zionist aggression," the statement concluded.

Israeli warplanes have launched massive airstrikes on the southern suburb of Dahiyeh in Beirut on Friday, resulting in loud explosions that reverberated across the city.

Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV said more than 15 missiles struck the area at the same moment.

Since dawn, at least 25 civilians have been reported killed due to Israeli airstrikes, with Lebanon's Health Ministry indicating that nearly 700 people have lost their lives in the country this week alone.

Israel has been conducting near-daily attacks on southern Lebanon since October 7, 2023, when the regime launched its campaign of death, destruction and genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has been responding. Its strikes are meant to both retaliate and support the war-hit Gazans.

The regime has repeatedly threatened to expand its attacks into another wholesale military onslaught against the country.

Hezbollah has vowed to defend the Lebanese soil with all its resources.

Two Israeli wars waged against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006 were met with strong resistance from Hezbollah, resulting in the retreat of the regime in both conflicts.
