Hezbollah's Strategic Escalation Shakes Zionist Depth Amid Brutal Offensive on Lebanon

Middle East: In response to the brutal massacre committed by the Zionist enemy last Monday, which left more than 2,300 victims, Hezbollah continues to maintain control over the military confrontation, dictating field developments that solidify both deterrence and support strategies.

Hezbollah has expanded the scope and intensity of its attacks on Zionist territory, targeting sensitive sites. The enemy is now uncertain about its ability to protect even areas within the new attack range, forcing it to declare a special state of emergency, reflecting its confusion and realization of its failure to halt Hezbollah’s operations or enforce red lines.

In addition to the strategic Ramat David military base and the Rafael company complexes in Haifa, Hezbollah has added new targets, including the Megiddo military airport, an explosives factory 60 kilometers from the border, Amos base (the main transport and logistics base for the northern region), and storage facilities at Nimra base near Lake Tiberias. Hezbollah also intensified attacks on Safed, northern settlements, and launched repeated missile salvos toward Haifa.

These carefully selected targets indicate Hezbollah’s readiness to expand its firepower in a manner that serves both strategic and operational needs for supporting Gaza and defending Lebanon. Striking these military bases and sensitive factories multiple times aims to disable them, extending the suffering of Zionist settlers near the border to deeper areas within the entity. Repeated missile attacks on settlements and cities in these areas will soon make it clear to settlers that there is no safety, especially if the escalation continues.

The impact of this is already visible in the occupied city of Safed, where Zionist media reported on Tuesday that it "has become empty, as it has turned into a major target for Hezbollah and everything is collapsing."

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s goal of returning settlers to the north, through his criminal escalation against Lebanon, has not only failed but has backfired dramatically. The settlers who were not previously under threat now face increasing danger. The enemy has attempted to equate the forced displacement of South Lebanese civilians with Hezbollah’s success in driving settlers out of northern occupied Palestine. However, this forced displacement does not align with the declared strategic goal of returning settlers. In fact, it makes that goal even more distant.

Hezbollah’s operations, which have open-ended targets and continually expand to include more sensitive areas, also feature the use of new missiles, such as "Fadi 1" and "Fadi 2," indicating the resilience of Hezbollah’s missile capabilities and its ability to deploy appropriate tools for each operational phase. This ensures that Hezbollah meets its strategic objectives of deterrence and support while maintaining its advanced arsenal, despite enemy claims of having destroyed 50% of Hezbollah’s missile platforms during Monday’s airstrikes.

The contrast between the enemy’s chaotic, impulsive actions and Hezbollah’s calculated, flexible responses highlights the difference in strategies. While the enemy seeks quick, brutal victories, Hezbollah adopts a long-term, calculated approach, gradually pushing the threat deeper into enemy territory in a well-organized manner that guarantees consistent, long-term results. This approach creates a dilemma for Netanyahu, who knows that prolonged escalation with Hezbollah is not in his interest. Regardless of the crimes the enemy can commit in Lebanon, Hezbollah’s ability to inflict damage within Zionist territory will come at a high cost, especially with other fronts of support escalating in parallel with the open battle in Gaza.

The "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle over the past year has proven that "asymmetry" in warfare is no longer an advantage for the side with greater support, more lethal weapons, and extensive influence. Rather, asymmetrical battles become a dilemma for such powers when the other side possesses determination, appropriate capabilities, and a long-term strategy. Hezbollah not only possesses these qualities but also has the experience of defeating the Zionist entity and decades of preparation for confrontation, with an open-ended willingness to sacrifice—something the enemy cannot match to achieve its goals.

Days after the start of the escalation against Lebanon, despite the Zionist enemy’s extensive propaganda focused on its supposed military and intelligence superiority, it has not gained even a slight advantage in achieving its strategic objectives. Hezbollah continues to achieve its declared goals of easing pressure on Gaza and dismantling Israeli deterrence, reinforcing the principle of escalation in response to escalation.
