News - Yemen: The Supreme Political Council expressed its deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of the esteemed leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, after a life dedicated to jihad and resistance.

"The martyred leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah crowned his lifetime of devotion and jihad with the most honorable conclusion, martyrdom in the path of Allah," the council said in a statement. "We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Sayyed Hassan's noble family, Hezbollah, its Mujahideen, the Lebanese people, and the entire Islamic nation."

The council emphasized that the martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah will fuel the spirit of sacrifice, ignite stronger determination, and reinforce the resilience of the resistance. The inevitable outcome will be the ultimate victory and the downfall of the Israeli enemy and its temporary regime.

The Yemeni Government also extended its condolences to Hezbollah's leadership and members, as well as to the Lebanese people, on the martyrdom of the great Islamic leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In its statement, the government described Sayyed Nasrallah as a symbol of jihad and resistance, who possessed a strategic vision and acted decisively in facing challenges. The government noted that the martyred leader had achieved numerous victories over the enemies of the nation, significantly contributing to raising the banner of Islam.

It further explained that Sayyed Nasrallah played a pivotal role in strengthening the axis of resistance and supporting the nation's causes, particularly the Palestinian cause.

The statement highlighted that Sayyed Nasrallah dedicated his life to the cause of Allah, defending his people’s rights, liberating his homeland, and supporting the Palestinian people.

The government affirmed the continuation of the martyred Hassan Nasrallah jihadist path, emphasizing that the defense of just causes will persist and that victory is forthcoming, Allah willing.

It also called on the free people of the world to continue working toward justice and to hold the Israeli and American enemies accountable. The government stressed that the blood of Sayyed Nasrallah will not be in vain, and that the Israeli enemy will not achieve any of its objectives through its cowardly operation.

On Friday, Israeli warplanes carried out a large strike against Haret Hreik neighborhood of Beirut’s densely populated southern suburb of Dahiyeh, flattening at least six residential buildings.

The attacks came as part of the regime’s escalation against Lebanon which has been targeting the country since October 7, when Tel Aviv launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Sayyed Nasrallah led Hezbollah for more than three decades. He was elected secretary-general of Hezbollah in 1992, aged 32 after an Israeli helicopter gunship killed his predecessor, Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi.
