News - Yemen: Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, Major General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, affirmed Friday, that the countries of the Resistance Axis will be the ones to stop the Zionist project that threatens the region.

He stressed that the Lebanese people are responsible for maintaining unity and cohesion to protect their national security, which is threatened by the Zionist enemy. He also noted that Hezbollah’s resistance has been more effective in direct confrontation, even after the martyrdom of its Secretary-General. He added, “Those who hide behind hundreds of tanks are the ones who fear and avoid direct confrontation.”

Al-Ruwaishan pointed out that what Lebanon is facing today is an extension of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, and that the only forces standing against the Zionist enemy are the forces of the Axis of Jihad and Resistance.

He stated, "If Egypt, Jordan, and the Arab Gulf countries believe that the Zionist enemy does not threaten their national security, they are mistaken, as the enemy is speaking about the battle for a new Middle East." He confirmed that it is the Resistance Axis that will stop the Zionist project threatening the region.

Millions of Yemenis have participated in solidarity marches in support of the Palestinian resistance as the anniversary of Israel’s genocidal war in the Gaza Strip approaches.

Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its Gaza war, which has so far killed more than 41,788 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
