News -Yemen: The Spokesperson for the Government of Change and Construction has condemned recent US-UK airstrikes on the Yemeni capital and other provinces, calling them a "desperate attempt" to intimidate the Yemeni people.

The attacks, which followed massive solidarity marches in support of Lebanon and Gaza, have been met with strong resistance from the Yemeni leadership.

In a statement issued Friday, the spokesperson Hashim Sharafaddein stressed that these aggressive actions will not deter Yemen from its path of resilience and steadfastness. “We affirm that these attacks will not break Yemen’s resolve, and we will continue to resist the enemies with all the strength we possess,” the spokesperson declared.

Furthermore, the government spokesperson confirmed that Yemen will persist in its operations as part of the "promised victory" and "holy struggle" against those it deems as aggressors. The Yemeni government reiterated its commitment to maintaining its resistance until the ongoing aggression against Gaza and Lebanon comes to an end.

The spokesperson’s remarks come amid escalating tensions in the region, with Yemen maintaining its position of solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon, while also defending its own sovereignty against foreign intervention as the US-British air forces carried out a series of airstrikes, targeting the provinces of Hodeidah, the capital Sanaa, Baidha and Dhamar.

These airstrikes followed a massive rally in Al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa, which was held in loyalty to the martyr of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. During the rally, demonstrators expressed their anger toward the U.S., Israel and their genocide being committed against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples by Zionist forces.

Yemen has been under continuous US-British airstrikes since last January, as part of an effort to pressure Yemen into abandoning its support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

For months, the Yemeni Armed Forces have responded with a series of significant attacks, targeting deep inside the temporary Israeli state with hypersonic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, reaffirming their unwavering support for Gaza.

The US-British-Israeli aggression is attempting to halt Yemen's support for Gaza through airstrikes on various Yemeni provinces, but as confirmed by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, these airstrikes have had no effect.

Yemen is fighting the "promised victory and holy jihad" with skill and strength, inflicting massive and heavy losses on the American and Zionist enemies. 

This includes forcing the U.S. aircraft carrier "Eisenhower" out of the Red Sea and preventing the "Roosevelt" from entering the operational zone. Meanwhile, U.S., British, and Israeli ships have been targeted and sunk if they violate Yemeni orders or breach Yemen's blockade on Israeli ports in occupied Palestine.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after Palestinian resistance groups carried out a surprise retaliatory operation into the occupied territories.

Concomitantly with the war, the regime has been enforcing an all-out siege on the coastal territory, which has reduced the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory into a trickle.

So far during the military onslaught, the regime has killed at least 41,802 Gazans. Another 96,844 Palestinians have sustained injuries as well.

It has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.

The movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its Gaza war.
