News - Yemen: The official spokesperson for Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdulsalam, extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt congratulations to Hamas and the dear Palestinian people on the martyrdom of the great commander Yahya Sinwar, who earned the honor of martyrdom after a life full of jihad and dedication.

Abdulsalam affirmed that the martyr Sinwar "attained martyrdom while advancing, not retreating, fighting for the most noble and just cause," praising his heroic exploits in facing the Israeli enemy.

The Ansarullah spokesperson expressed his certainty that Gaza and the Palestinian cause are destined for victory, regardless of the sacrifices.

He also emphasized the crucial role the martyr Sinwar played in strengthening the Palestinian resistance, considering that his martyrdom will serve as a driving force for the fighters to continue their struggle to liberate Palestinian land.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has been martyred in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza's Rafah city, a senior Hamas official confirmed.

Khalil Hayya, head of Hamas in Gaza, delivered a statement on Friday, a day after reports of Sinwar's martyrdom. 

Sinwar was found dead in southern Gaza’s Rafah city on Thursday, wearing a combat vest with an AK-47 rifle by his side.

The charismatic leader of the Palestinian resistance movement escaped many assassination attempts before and after the events of October 7.

In the past year, Sinwar, 62, played an instrumental role in coordinating and supervising Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in Gaza.

Before becoming Hamas’s leader in Gaza in 2017, Sinwar spent 22 years in an Israeli prison. He was released as part of a prisoner swap in 2011.
