These airstrikes resulted in the martyrdom of 15 people, including children, women, fishermen, and travelers, leaving dozens of families without breadwinners or sources of income. The strikes terrified women and children, triggered waves of displacement, worsened living conditions, caused widespread property damage, and led to a decline in local production.
Key Incidents:
2016: 8 Casualties, Including Children and Women, in an Attack on Sa'adah
On December 7, 2016, the coalition launched an airstrike on the Al-Muqayt family in Shaharan, Baqim district, Sa'adah province. The attack claimed four lives—three children and a woman—and injured four others, including a child and two women. The family’s modest home was completely destroyed, their livestock killed, and neighboring homes damaged, forcing residents to flee in fear.
Before the airstrikes, the family led a simple life in their clay home. On that tragic evening, while the mother prepared dinner and the children played, the airstrike reduced their home to rubble, turning their lives into a devastating nightmare.
2018: 3 Civilians Martyred in an Attack on a Vehicle in Sa'adah
In a deliberate act of aggression, coalition warplanes targeted a civilian vehicle on the public road in Ragafa, Majz district, Sa'adah. The attack left three civilians dead and their vehicle completely incinerated.
2018: 4 Fishermen Martyred in an Attack on Their Boat in Hodeidah
On the same day in Hodeidah, coalition warplanes bombed a fishing boat near the coast of Al-Harounia, killing four fishermen. The attack destroyed the boat, left families without their breadwinners, and disrupted fishing activities, worsening the economic plight of the local population.
2021: Airstrikes Target Auto Repair Shops in Sana'a
In 2021, coalition airstrikes targeted auto repair shops on 60th Street in northern Sana'a for the third consecutive day. The attack caused significant damage to workshops, neighboring homes, and parked vehicles, forcing residents to flee.
These repeated attacks highlight the aggression’s deliberate targeting of civilians and infrastructure, violating international humanitarian laws. The destruction of homes, fishing boats, vehicles, and workshops has worsened Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, plunging thousands into poverty, displacement, and despair.
Despite these atrocities, the Yemeni people remain steadfast, resilient in their struggle for peace, justice, and independence.
